Idaho State That's a good spot for us. Shows we've earned a small amount of respect but also shows they don't fully think we're ready. Hopefully this puts a chip on the shoulders of the players and coaches to kick the ass of those top 6 teams. Quote
Feff Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I'd say UND is placed where it should be given the question marks at QB and the deficiencies of the defense shown last year. Quote
Teeder11 Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 About right, IMHO. Now, c'mon, boys. Prove to us you deserve higher! 4 Quote
WeAreNorthDakota Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 I agree that we're in about the right spot. I am surprised, however, that both polls agree on spots 1-10. Quote
108498 Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 It will be interesting to see how many people come to the first two games based on excitement. After that the record and ranking will factor in on attendance. Quote

UNDColorado Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Three words: Just Win Baby!!! You nailed it. Win a couple early and that should help. Win consistently and UND Football becomes cool again. People tend to be more sheepish in that they will follow the herd rather than lead. Consistent winning will catch the attention of this "herd" and they will move toward it over time (will not happen in one season). Just my opinion as a Digital Marketing Professional. You have to make this cool again and winning will go a long way...not the only answer but rather a major piece of the puzzle. Quote

UNDColorado Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Please refrain from using the word "herd" when referring to UND football. Thank you. Haha yeah I thought of that as I was typing but we use the term a lot in my profession to describe the group consumer behavior. Quote
Teeder11 Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Cue the "Football attendance" thread to start up again and how we can increase attendancethis season!!! Heard the football coaches might soon be personally delivering season-tix packages to consumers (within 30 minutes or less or you get them free). All you fans outside of Grand Forks County should pony up! Edit* It must be a local promotion (as in within a certain proximity of GF). If I hear more, I will post. Quote
