dmksioux Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 It appears as though the UND Vs. KU game on Saturday is going to be on ESPNU. Hopefully the team has been able to work some of it's issues out and at least makes the game interesting. http://espn.go.com/espntv/onair/index?start=12-31-11-1:00-PM
craw84 Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Any Sioux fans planning on attending this game? I live in the Kansas City area so I'll be going with some friends who are KU grads and sitting in student section, so it should be a blast. It'd be great to see some other fans sporting the green and white...

Yep, mentioned the game to a client/friend of mine a couple of months ago and he went and used his connections to get us a couple of free tickets. Don't know where our seats are at yet, but we're supposed to meet our ticket-Santa at the box office @ 2:15 if you want to come by and introduce yourself. Plan on wearing my green and white, of course!
sioux2013 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Game time near. All I care about today is we make improvements in our game. We have alot to improve on and today would be a good start to show our potential on national TV. Lets take good shots and play as a team. We will be at full strength with the additional of Goodman. Go Sioux
darell1976 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 All I ask is for UND to keep it close, don't pull a Howard.
Dagger Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I am a big basketball fan but being realistic it is highly highly unlikely we are going to keep it close. This is not a put down but we just don't have the inside game even if we were healthy to keep it anywhere near close. We have parts of the puzzle but we have some big pieces missing.

This is UND's chance to show the NCAA world what they got. If I was Brian Jones I would tell them, the country is watching what you do, go out there and give it all you got. We are major underdogs but remember anybody can beat anybody, and hope it sparks something. A loss under 20 is repectable IMO.
farce poobah Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 UND 3 Kansas 2 I had to post that quickly before it changes.
dmksioux Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Slow start for both teams. 4-3 KU at the first tv timeout.
darell1976 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 5 UND turnovers in the first 6 minutes...YIKES!
dmksioux Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Sioux need to finish down low. Missing too many gimmees. The pace of the game is in UNDs favor. Just need to start making shots.
dmksioux Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 37-21 KU at the half. The announcers mentioned that UND is averaging 11 missed layups a game when playing on the road. Just one reason why the Sioux haven't won on the road this season, other than the Minot State exhibition game.

Let'sGoHawks! Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Its awfully tough for me to watch an entire game of basketball, I guess I'm just a football and hockey guy. Nice exposure on ESPNU, even with the butt whoopin.

sioux24/7 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 We just have no one who can even come close to guarding Robinson down low.
darell1976 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 We just have no one who can even come close to guarding Robinson down low. Everytime we score they answer. Oh well this thumping will be over in 7 minutes. This team doesn't look like the one we had last year.
Taz Boy Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Robinson is a machine out there. Nice discussion on the Fighting Sioux nickname by the announcers. Nothing controversial, for a change. Great ball movement and control by KU, getting second chances off of rebounds. I'm not much for basketball, but it's neat seeing the Sioux on national TV. 1

darell1976 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 You really think that last year's team would do better against Kansas? I don't think so. Of course we would've lost by maybe 15.
Hayduke Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Of course we would've lost by maybe 15. We all know that NDSU would have beaten them in the big dance, right? Oh, wait. That didn't happen! http://espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=294000055 But, I will give them credit. They did make a game of it!
