NewUndFan Posted June 18 Posted June 18 https://herosports.com/fcs-plot-twist-sac-state-football-independence-ksks/ Looks like there could be more movement happening. Article states the Texas schools are looking at the Atlantic Sun now. No mention of the Summit League at all. Please dont tell me our only options for expansion are going to be Auggie, Mankato and Bismarck State. 1 2 Quote

Sac St.'s waiver is likely to be denied as the oversight committee recommended against the waiver. Would be a surprise if the D1 council overrides that. Neither approach seems to be working. Either you are in a desirable location for a specific conference or you aren't... Quote

Guessing that isn't going to be a real big contract. Quote

NewUndFan Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Looks like southern Utah and Utah tech going to the big sky. WAC and ASUN going to merge so we wont be getting tarleton st and ACU. Summit league no expansion again. I guess those that get excited about playing Auggie, Bemidji state, Mankato and Minot should be happy. I for one wont be happy adding any of those schools. 1 Quote
FSSD Posted June 25 Posted June 25 According to sources on X it sounds like: 1) WAC is kicking out the Utah schools (SUU and U-Tech both Big Sky bound). New Big Sky: EWU, UI, ISU, UM, MSU, PSU, Weber St, UNC, UNA, SUU, U-Tech. Cal Poly UC-Davis football only - 11 schools/13 football 2) All ASUN football schools moving over to the WAC with a rebrand to UAC. 8 schools/7 football UAC: UT-A, Tarleton St., ACU, UCA, WGA, N. Alabama, EKU, Austin Peavy I wonder what happens when Tarleton St leaves? Quote
