Going to play for North Dakota (best fanbase in NCAA Hockey) and drafted by the Boston Bruins (best US fanbase in the NHL), he can become a legend amongst so many if he's dialed in and rounds out his game just a bit.

Have to think if Zimmerman keeps playing like this, the interest will definitely pick up. So far, it sounds like UND isn’t really involved

I read that a few teams wanted him for this year and the Oil Kings were thrilled that UND wanted him to wait a year. He will be one of the top defensemen in the WHL this year.

Last November, the NCAA passed a new rule that allows players to play against professionals while keeping their amateur status. The same rule also allows Canadian Hockey League players to retain their NCAA eligibility.

Just speculating because he's in red on Heisenberg's site which is usually pretty accurate. He moves them to red once they're on campus or no longer committed and we know he's not on campus

Yeah could be nothing to it or just that he was originally projected to come in for 2025 and didn't so that's why he's in red. Still hope he figures it out and makes it here. Lifelong Sioux fan and the Warroad guys have been some of my absolutely favorite to watch at UND.

Wasn't the prevailing thought that North Dakota didn't offer him right away and once they did he was a no doubter to commit to UND?

My understanding is he soured on BU when they started committing more players than there were spots (like another red and white team!), and at that point it was fish in a barrel for us.
