Going to play for North Dakota (best fanbase in NCAA Hockey) and drafted by the Boston Bruins (best US fanbase in the NHL), he can become a legend amongst so many if he's dialed in and rounds out his game just a bit. 1 Quote

I read that a few teams wanted him for this year and the Oil Kings were thrilled that UND wanted him to wait a year. He will be one of the top defensemen in the WHL this year. 4 Quote

Popular Post brianvf Posted Wednesday at 04:03 AM Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 04:03 AM Dang, Heil dressed (and played) in an NHL preseason game tonight for the Lightning. Pretty cool experience for him. 8 1 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted Wednesday at 01:00 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:00 PM Not that he wasn't before but that'll get Heil more noticed. 1 1 Quote
brianvf Posted Wednesday at 05:04 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:04 PM More on Heil's NHL outing: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-recruit-caleb-heil-plays-in-nhl-preseason-game Quote Heil played the third period, overtime and the shootout. "It obviously was an unbelievable experience," Heil told reporters after the game. "Just grateful the coaches put me in there and for the guys battling in front. It was a great experience. This whole camp here is something I can take into the season." Quote It is believed to be the first time a UND commit has played in an NHL preseason game. It's part of college hockey's new landscape. Last November, the NCAA passed a new rule that allows players to play against professionals while keeping their amateur status. The same rule also allows Canadian Hockey League players to retain their NCAA eligibility. 1 Quote

He moves them to red once they're on campus or no longer committed and we know he's not on campus https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gNRdKGXtofb4ti6cX3nVF9JbAilk4SkCMZM6-Df_zgo/edit?gid=1466169803#gid=1466169803 Quote
ChadR Posted yesterday at 02:04 PM Posted yesterday at 02:04 PM Wouldn't mind dropping Pilgrim & grabbing Zimmermann instead. Quote
Ndamukong_sioux Posted yesterday at 02:31 PM Posted yesterday at 02:31 PM I wouldn’t write him off just yet. And everything is rumor until Schloss reports on it. 1 Quote
SpudsSioux Posted yesterday at 02:53 PM Posted yesterday at 02:53 PM Yeah could be nothing to it or just that he was originally projected to come in for 2025 and didn't so that's why he's in red. Still hope he figures it out and makes it here. Lifelong Sioux fan and the Warroad guys have been some of my absolutely favorite to watch at UND. 2 Quote

My understanding is he soured on BU when they started committing more players than there were spots (like another red and white team!), and at that point it was fish in a barrel for us. 2 Quote
brianvf Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Been almost 2 months since the last Schloss podcast, kinda crazy with the season almost upon us. Which means that the next time they release a podcast, we can expect a big recruit announcement the very next day. Quote
