After listening to Gorg keep calling him "Kreesto," I decided to look up the pronunciation gude in the media guide.

I think I figured out why the tools on BTN last night kept called him "Greg-ware". The media guide has his name phoenetically spelled as "greg-WAHR". At least I can understand where the "-ware" came from. I still don't know where TH gets "greg-WIRE" from.

That's how the locals pronounce the name for what it's worth. TH grew up in the Twin Cities so maybe that doesn't matter.

The one that gets me is Cichy. It's funny how you pronounce the name differently if they play football or hockey.

I suppose it's no different than "Jaguar". You've got "jag-wahr", "jag-wire" and "jag-u-are"
