Snake Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 To piggy-back on Sprig's comments...looks like the Friday game is tape-delayed on FSN Wisconsin, and the Saturday broadcast is local cable. As of right now they don't have any webcast info at uwbadgers.com. I seem to remember being able to webcast UW games in the past...in fact, that's how we watched the series last year at my house. I also recall watching the Sioux clinch the MacNaughton in '09 in front of a computer monitor. Quote
Redneksioux Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 What ever you do dont waste the big $$$ on an AZBox Salgari has one on my forum and sent me a very negative analysis of it. I am sure he will get around to posting it, or I will. Is the Open Box worth $100? Yes, but not much more. Best to bid around $100 on e-bay and stand your ground. Eventually someone will sell you one for $100 Is there any additional programming that can be picked up on 87w with an openbox? Quote
PSB Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Time to start worrying about this again. I missed last season on satellite because I couldn't find anyone in the damned U.P. to aim my dish. My several manual attempts were futile. I have someone in town for the next week that might be able to help - but where are we aiming this year? Any input is appreciated. 87 Quote
TheGreatSiouxNation Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 77% on the 30 inch Winegard tonight. 87% on the 6 foot. Quote
sprig Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 note frequency change from 12015 to 12095, same polarity and sr, 77 here also on the hotdish90 Quote
Sparky Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Did the frequency change? I've got nothing here but had it set up for the football and volleyball games. Quote

Sparky Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Got it. Your post got in just before mine. Thanks. Quote
Blackheart Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 65% with the big dish! (1 meter) I never have got anything higher than the low 50's as long as I used my 30 inch Winegard. Thanks to Jake and PSB for making it happen! Quote

Thanks to Jake and PSB for making it happen! Your welcome Blackheart! It's as close to HD without having HD in my opinion! Just wait until you can compare SD FSN to FTA FSSN. Night and day difference. I will do what I can for any Sioux fan watching on Satellite and I know PSB will also. Quote

Yeah I hate paying Comcast $70 a month for a 3rd generation picture that pixilates throughout the game...thanks again, you da man!! Quote
TheGreatSiouxNation Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 77% quality on the 30 inch dish for volleyball tonight. Quote
Goon Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 It looks like both games are going to be on 617 tomorrow. I just check out my menu on Direct TV. Quote
Blackheart Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 BC-Mich State starting...signal in and out even with the 1 meter dish...totally overcast in Mpls suburbs...hope to be able to watch! Quote
sprig Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 BC-Mich State starting...signal in and out even with the 1 meter dish...totally overcast in Mpls suburbs...hope to be able to watch! Same thing here in NWND; in and out. No problem on other tp's. They are once again giving us an unpowered product Quote
PSB Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 70% quality down to zero : ( I put it down to the wind but seemingly not, SUCKS! Quote

sprig Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Can't they turn up the quality 'knob'? Last year when the cableco's had problems, they bumped up the power. hope it happens again cause this sucks Quote
PSB Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Its almost like wind, as it keeps settling at 70% here, then drifts away... Quote
sprig Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Not windy here, and I have the same problem, but just on this one tp. Get to see the score occasionally, but not a whole rush one way down the ice. Might be time to shut down the FTA and buy the web stream. Quote
Blackheart Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 All the Horizontal channels (Patient channel, Bloomberg, Telemundo) are coming in at 85%+...FSSN is a Vertical signal and currently sucks...I believe MTA and Infocast channels are vertical; anyone getting decent signals on those? Quote
PSB Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 MTA used to have a decent signal a few months ago but I have noticed it drop recently. No signal at all right now, with any luck they will have it fixed by tonight....... Quote
Blackheart Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I did a blind scan of just the Vertical signals on 87 West and it returned nothing...Does the type of signal have anything to do with it's quality/strength? Quote
sprig Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Bought the webcast; neulion is actually fairly good hooked up to the big screen, not FTA, but much better than off and on (mostly off) FTA Quote
