xI Hammer Ix Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Not sure, he's still listed anyway, stats seem out dated (only 17 games) http://www.stingrayshockey.com/team/player...ml?player_id=89 Quote
siouxforce19 Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Where is Joe Finley? Said he's not on the active roster in South Carolina. Retire already? Joe has been injured. Hand injury I think. He had surgery so he's out for a while. Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 If they're considered to be Sioux boosters (which can mean 'fan', former player, etc.), I think they can tell anyone about the great program and encourage a visit but they can't 'fund' it in anyway. That would include giving him a jersey or t-shirt or a meal at a REA concession stand or even a little thing like a Sioux logo key chain. Ok, thanks! I was confused on that because I knew there was a rule about that, but I couldn't remember what the exact rule was. Quote

petey23 Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Toews was number one star in Blackhawks win over the Devils tonight. In on-ice postgame interview he ended it with "I wanna give a shout out to my boys from THE University of North Dakota who are here tonight! Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Not really a former Sioux, but would affect former Sioux players....the Blues have axed Andy Murray as head coach. The interim head coach is Davis Payne, who was coaching Peoria. NHL.com article Quote

xI Hammer Ix Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 It goes without saying Toews is NOT a fighter lol. Oshie had an assist as well. Quote

fargosioux Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Jeremy Roenick thinks T.J. Oshie should have been picked for the olympic team instead of Chris Drury. TSN link to article "I know he's a great leader and if he's captain of the team, he'll be a great captain, but I just don't see him being as good for the team as a guy like Gomez would be or T.J. Oshie. Oshie would bring so much energy to this team and this type of format in an international event, that I don't understand how those two guys aren't on the team." Quote

31-9 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 gota love hollywood, AKA roenick............oshie and zajac will contend for a serious spot come next olympics with toews and parise in Oshie has been selected as an alternate, so maybe Drury or Komisarek will do their nation a favor and get hurt. Zajac finally broke his goal scoring drought at 12 games last night with 1 G and 1 A. Guess he finally listened to Jacques who said the only thing Travis needs to do is "Be more selfish and shoot the puck." Parise also had a goal last night. Quote

Ray77 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I'll never understand the "hits" statistic - why anyone would keep or care about this stat. Goals, assists, +/-, PP/PK percentage, etc. I understand...but hits is just a dumb stat, and can also be fairly subjective. Quote
