Goon Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Can anyone fill me in on what's up with Stafford? I don't follow Buffalo too closely but I check in on the score when they're playing. Tonight's game is well into the second period and Stafford has only played six minutes... I think he had an injury earlier this season and that might explain why I haven't seen him on the score sheet too often... anyone know anything? I watched the game on Versus the other night between Boston and Buffalo and I don't remember even seeing him that much. I don't know what his deal is. My buddy called me while I was watching the game (who is a Buffalo fan) and his first comment out of his mouth was Stafford is really a good hockey player. This is a game that Drew played almost 15 minutes in as well. Buffalo is struggling this year as well... Stafford is 5g-7a for 12 points in 25 games and is a Plus 2. Quote
UNDintheNHL Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Any see R. Potulny looking absolutely terrified last night when a Penguin wanted him to drop the gloves? He was getting worked along the boards and just stood there with a "I need to go change my shorts" look on his face. oh man Walsh I would have loved to see that. I hate Pots. As do most UND fans lol. But no, sorry, I've been using most of my energy to follow this proposed Ducks trade supposedly going down soon, as I think my Canes may get involved. Alot are saying Andy Schneider may come over to the Canes, which would be awesome I think Quote

Goon Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Found it Eklund is talking about it on Hockey Buzz Bear in mind the guy isn't very accurate and there are few transactions that he has been accurate on. The one that comes to mind is the Towes one. Yikes. It would be good for Andy. Quote
USA Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Where is that trade being discussed? Are you sure this isn't Mathieu Schneider? I haven't seen anything that mentions Andy Schneider, but then again, I haven't looked real hard. Quote

I haven't seen anything that mentions Andy Schneider, but then again, I haven't looked real hard. It is actually Mathieu Schneider whose name is being tossed around in rumors. I just read an article on ESPN about the "problem" that The Ducks will have if and when he returns. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/columns/stor...&id=3148373 Quote

WiSioux Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Gotta love when you get in the way of the puck and end up with a goal Toews was credited with a goal that made it 5-3 just 42 seconds later. Kane's centering pass hit Toews in the shoulder and deflected in. Hawks Quote
Hawkfan10 Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 btw, is Andy even earning a paycheck playing hockey right now? He is. He is in the Ducks minor league organization. The Portland Pirates. I was curious I wanted to find out if he was playing too. Matt Quote

"There is a lot of pride in the locker room and organization. We're just trying our best to bring hockey back to life in this city," he says. When was the last time a rookie was appointed alteranate captain!!! Quote

Siouxmama Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 What jersey is the #29 for Toews? His World Jr jersey? Quote
Big A HG Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 What jersey is the #29 for Toews? His World Jr jersey? Yep, and he wore #16 for the men's Canadian team. Side note: Toews is only 4 points behind Kane's pace with 5 more goals than he had. Not bad. Plus, Toews plays on PP and PK unlike Kane. Quote
