franchise
At this point, I hope we play Minnesota tomorrow. We neet a good rivalry game right now. I was thinking if MN won and we played CC, we'd still have an outside shot at a 1?
SiouxFanatic
Well so much for me being fully happy on my birthday. The Sioux were outplayed for the most part against DU. Not until Chorney scored did we show sign of life and the yearning to score another to win the game. I could care less if we don't get a #1 seed in the National Tournament cause wherever we go it's going to be a battle. Right now I think the Sioux need to start playing like they did in the early parts of the streak. Also I don't know if it's just me but I hate Miller being on the top line with Duncan and Oshie. I'm just not impressed by him. He's got speed but that's pretty much it. So much for the chance of hoisting up the Broadmoor. Now we got to rebound tomorrow and have a W going into the regionals. Gotta show that just cause we're out of the championship game doesn't mean we're going to quit playing. None the less GO SIOUX!! Wish you could've gotten the win for me to make my birthday much sweeter but I guess it just wasn't to be.
franchise
I would think that if Radke was in, he could have riled some guys up and gotten them to take some dumb penalties. I'm so pissed right now. Miller threw that puck in front of the net and I started telling my wife that you don't wanna do that because it can cause a break the other way. Then the cussing started. Robb_K
Maybe they're still suffering from the flu, but they've got to suck it up and come out firing, tomorrow. What time will the broadcast start tomorrow on KFGO?

Reformed Gphr Fan
All I have to say is it was a PAINFUL game to watch. Uffda You have no idea...I have to go back to work on Monday and explain to the BU/BC/Maine/Vermont/Hockey East fans why I took Friday afternoon off to watch the Sioux - when most of them think UND stands for "Notre Dame". I seriously hope this will be a kick in the ass before regionals.

Also the guys broadcasting also said that Miller just isn't strong enough. Maybe Radke should be in or someone who really wants to be there. Also Finley's got to be a little tougher and finish his checks
jimdahl
I was thinking if MN won and we played CC, we'd still have an outside shot at a 1? Looking at the CC vs. UND comparison only, 2 CC losses + 1 UND win (including 1 over CC) should flip TUC to UND and possibly RPI, plus give UND one more H2H point. Without RPI, that would leave the comparison at 3-3 with CC owning RPI and UND H2H (I'm not sure which the committee would use as a tie-breaker); with RPI, UND wins the comparison 4-2. RPI should be within .001 or so in that situation, so some of the other games could nudge it around enough to matter. Of course, other things could move a little, with the comparison so tight, but a Minnesota win over CC and subsequent UND win over CC seems to be UND’s best chance. THETRIOUXPER
All I can say is this, they better get their !@#$ together, quick, fast, and in a hurry. Next week there is no second chance. Oh, and please, put Kozek back out there with Osh and Duncs, they were much more productive with Koz on that line.

northfieldsioux22
I really hope they put Kozek back on the Duncan-Oshie line too! Those three together really seemed to be overwhelming to opposing teams. Also, hopefully we can get Trupp back for the NCAA tourney. His speed and vision on the lower lines was a huge bonus. Overall though we really need to get back to scoring. In the last three games we haven't scored more than 2 goals. And if you don't count the first Tech game where we scored 4 than that streak goes on for 7 games. We need to SCORE SCORE SCORE
THETRIOUXPER
Thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Kozek is a much better fit than Miller is with Duncan and Oshie. Plus, Koz brings a much needed physical presence to that line, which allows the other two to have a little bit of space.

Oh, and please, put Kozek back out there with Osh and Duncs, they were much more productive with Koz on that line. I think it's a given that they'll replace Miller with someone. It seems that the logical move is Kozek, as they need badly to get out of the scoring slump, and Kozek wasn't scoring much on the third line, anyway. Contrary to popular belief, in the tougher, more defensive playoffs, it MAY be better to have goal-scoring power concentrated on one line, at least, rather than spreading it out too thin, and not scoring at all. I hope they put him back on Line1.

Taz Boy
Ugly game. Credit DU for just plain shutting down the Sioux. Looked a lot like the 1-0 loss in the regionals a few years back. What a sweet backhander for the game winner. I was irritated a few hours ago, now over it. Another game tomorrow. UND absolutely has to get out of this scoring slump to have success in the big tourney. Would love to play CC tomorrow. And, here it comes... it's going to be tough to say this, but ..... ew.... uhm.... go g-gophers. Phat, phewy, spsst, bleah. taz has Sioux flu

Speez
Hated to see the Sioux lose to Denver, but can't say I was too suprised. They can't score goals & haven't for a while. With the leading scorer having 17 goals for the year, the playoffs are going to be a tough challenge. Previous teams had multiple 20+ scorers with scoring lines that would dominate the action. Role players would score 15-20 goals per season & would get flack on these boards for not scoring more. Now we have guys making 1st. & 2nd team WCHA honors & can't get 20 goals. I know scoring is down with great goaltending all around the leagues but a final push to get the offense flying is the only way this team is going to get to the FF. Sioux teams have the reputation of wearing the opponent down & dominating the 3rd period. I'm still waiting to see that this year. The Sioux may have dominated the action in the 3rd. today, but they haven't dominated the scoring.
Dave P
I was disappointed that the Sioux didn't play the body that much today. If there was ever a trademark of Sioux hockey, it is the physical play. There are 3 ways to change momentum in hockey: 1) score a goal 2) hit the post 3) lay somebody out
