  1. Cool here in Missoula today - currently 36, will be 44 at gametime. Should stay dry.
  2. He is eligible for the entire game.
  3. Even Michigan has had trouble filling the student section and keeping them there in recent years. This is not unique to UND.
  4. Disagree on Taylor. When healthy he was not our best lineman - he lost his starting job in week 2 because of poor play and didn't play well last year either. People on the team could t believe it when he was named 3rd team all conference last year.
  5. There are good reasons not to be public about it.

    Is there someplace else?
  7. Yeah, I brought it up two years ago and was "roundly debunked" too (I love that phrase!).
  8. The trainer I talked to would disagree with you. Again there are more than one way to skin a cat but he'd disagree.
  9. Yeah, I looked at it appears they don't. Looks like I didn't remember that part of the exchange correctly. So scratch that. But the philosophical differences between the two training methods remain.
  10. In all of the negatives surrounding these losses it's noteworthy to point out that the ground game - obviously a key component to Bubba's offensive philosophy - got going against Davis on Saturday. Hopefully that continues going forward and keeps the defense off the field as long as possible. Also a shout out to Taubenheim who played well despite being injured.
  11. I have no idea if our S+C program has anything to do with our injuries or if it's bad luck. I also know that there are different S+C philosophies and trainers are passionate about their own methods and that there are many ways to skin a cat. What I do know is that a football specific S+C trainer here in the Twin Cities - who worked for the Vikings for years - trains his athletes differently than Bakkol and does not approve of the training done at UND. I don't have a ton a specifics but I do know that the former Vikings trainer does not believe in squats and trains athletes specific to their positions - and both of these contrast with UND's method. Defensive backs are given weight programs different than offensive linemen and different than punters. He also said that many D1 schools do not squat because of the knee stress and when the NFL draft combine is approaching the players go back to it because it's one of the metrics used at the combine. After that the Vikes don't squat, at least when he was there (enter Vikings ineptitude joke here).
  12. I think it will be an anomaly too. Sure hope so.
  13. Exactly. This would be a no brainer for all of us in his shoes. My best to the young man.
  14. You're lobbying for Rudolph to get fired? And Bubba has no responsibility? Look I think some of the criticism of Rudy is warranted. But we're not in the offensive meetings to know what Bubba's gameplan for Rudy is or how Rudy grades out after games. There is a real possibility that Bubba is overall pleased with the playcalls because Rudy is running the offense that Bubba wants. Either way there is no question that Bubba wants a run first, ball control, no turnover offense and that is what Rudy calls. Overall we've established that a majority of posters don't like Rudy's play calling. But we don't know Bubba's opinion.
  15. You mean the offense Bubba wants Rudy to run is predictable and has zero creativity. I just want the blame to credited properly.
  16. Back to funding the football team with leg braces and concussion hats!
  17. Because maybe UND took their heart?
  18. Yes, I got a handwritten note from Bubba too. Great job coach - I'm happy to help.

    I can confirm both statements.

    Awesome. Another Bison thread jack.
  21. We had an outstanding time. - I walked around the tailgating area and everyone was kind - offering us beer and food, asking us questions, showing us their Utah decorated RVs. It was a good atmosphere. Lots of great trailers and set ups. - It's a nice stadium with a beautiful view of the mountains. - The food was inexpensive in the stadium - much appreciated. - I didn't see a ton of unique football traditions during the game. The lighting of the "U" after the win was very cool. Other than that the cannon bit is overdone across the land, the band was OK, ... and that was about it. I've been to a number of Power 5 games and this game had the least amount of traditions I've seen. Not a knock by any stretch, just an observation. - Many people stopped after the game to tell folks in green how good of a game it was. Over and over people said they liked Keaton. There were lots of kind people there. I'm curious how Utah fans react to visitors from Washington or USC, etc (not BYU obviously!). - We visited In and Out, Temple Square, the state capital, Park City, and the Olympic Training Center. We really enjoyed all of it. All in all it was a very worthwhile trip and I'm very happy we went. I appreciate how kind the fans were.... they left a great lasting impression.
  22. Even when the O doesn't score we have to avoid 3 and outs. We need to keep the defense off the field.
  23. Donation made. Let's keep the ball rolling!
