  1. I don't see it this way - Reyes is the NFL guy if he stays healthy this season. I see Reyes as high as 3rd round. Harris maybe in the 6th/7th if he takes a step up this year, lacks closing speed with ball in air. The big thing Harris has is height for his position. The 3 picks for TDs is great for the stats, but without those the other 720 plays from last year don't scream 2nd round NFL.
  2. Heard nothing about grades being an issue. Canadian commitment is a mysterious beast.
  3. On his couch, uncommitted.

  5. missed the raw raw's -
  6. For those that don't know that's in the school song -
  7. Rumor Mill, nearly all were committed this past weekend. Next week is full of undecideds, really big weekend to complete the class.
  8. Thanks for the insight. Reynolds will not be considered at safety. You need to be a freak of nature to play safety in our system.
  9. Without the BS holding call it's 7-0, Stick actually did fumble, and JMU just lost their starting RT and the backup was terrible, and 2 other starters were suspended. Yet, they still traveled to the mighty Fargo Dome and in spite of 8 false starts by all accounts 'HANDLED' you. All things considered the game wasn't that close. The announcers also said JMU beats the Bison 8 of 10 times. I would argue 10 out of 10 times.
  10. Good one!! I think there is enough Mungs in Mlps to build a wall. Fleck needs to focus his cheerleadering on the top 5 recruits in MN that the Goofs never land.
  11. Fleck is more of a cheerleader than a head coach. Too much Raw Raw feel good bull than I can handle. Buy him some pom poms......
  12. Probably the Jews or laces weren't out...... The truth is could be the snap, the hold, the kick, the elements. It probably isn't fair to just look at the numbers, but that's what we do. He missed 2 at Bowling Green and that was an awful swirling high wind and occasional rain day, very challenging conditions on those 2 misses. Kickers are a big mystery and I don't have the code to crack it.
  13. Wishbone, all problems solved-
  14. A miss is a miss with field goals, the longer they are the more risk of a block because of trajectory. I am referring to height and distance in regards to Kick-offs and Kick-off coverage. The more height and distance the more time the coverage team has to get down the field, get off blocks, make a tackle, preventing the other team from obtaining good field position and/or momentum.
  15. I wasn't aware of the 2nd team honors, just an opinion. 4 of 11 from 40+ yards and kick offs need more height and distance. 64% make percentage. I expect better.
  16. Tried and convicted in the public arena. Maybe give the players their day in court. Pigs? Sure! Criminals? To be determined but doesn't sound like it.
  17. The word is the process is not consistent. Each case gets assigned to an agent of the NCAA and both cases are near a coin flip. Arnell's case might be stronger with it being a 2nd major injury. We should know within the next 2-3 weeks.
  18. Originally the story was going to be themed around the Cheetham brothers. James at UND and Jerome at SU. But after they started shooting film Rocky was too entertaining to not make the story based on him, with his counter part being coach Thomas. (This is straight from RT)
  19. I hope Klieman gets it for the entertainment value in Fargo. But I think it's a stretch.
  20. Kick coverage has 3 categories. This is my analysis - 50% is the kicker and his kick (height and distance), 40% is the talent and effort from the players, and 10% is execution with avoiding blocks, taking on blocks, and containment. Our kicker was average so that's not a good start. We had 2-3 good coverage guys but too many average Joes. We need 5-6 good coverage guys and I think that will be better in 2017. Overall I think most are too hard on Siebel, that's a really challenging job, punt returner. My guess is there is hardly a guy on this forum with the balls to stand back and return punts at the college level. Kicker - Best man win. Taubs was pretty mediocre last year.
  21. And the other side of it is when a PWO player earns a starting position and gets put on scholarship. It happens both ways.
  22. Each situation differs- not sure what you want to hear. Some feel a scholarship should be guaranteed once given, but that's not reality. We don't have scholarship tenure.
  23. Open season, in a respectful way. Tough spot for current Gopher commits and players. It was horrible to go thru 3 years ago at UND, I am sure no one called on our players and recruits.......ya right!!
  24. Look for Palmborg to move to outside backer and give a boost to the position. That gives us 3 outsides with significant playing experience.(with Jake and Jade) Throw in a guy like Ray Haas and we're 2 deep at outside. O'Brien and Rodgers start at the inside spots and Hunt and Murray have a solid shot for the 2-deep. Jaxson Turner and Keelan Poole are really athletic, will have a shot at 2-deep. Geier might slide down to outside, too. Their is a couple other younger guys too.....the guys filling out their frames more are candidates for inside. I don't think the staff is too worried about the linebackers.
  25. Don't hold your breath. It seems identity carries more weight than creativity or schematics and that's the way we are going to coach. Hopefully we can strike a balance offensively in 2017.
