Pete's Za has MANY underrated pies... The Calypso - Jerk sauce is just the start -crazy delicious chicken and pineapple! Bought the Farm - YEAH YOU DID! excellent deluxe style meat pie Dirty Bird - another different but tasty chicken pizza Also don't miss the Gojuchang Wings - insanely tasty but not overly spicy Korean wing sauce. Pete's is the most underrated pizza joint in GF!!! Hands down!

It would be a mercy killing FOR SURE! Since the old WCHA Final 5 went away this tournament has NEVER been anything near what it used to be. Went to the first couple NCHC tourneys at the Target Center and realized right away - THIS SUCKS and never went back and THAT SUCKS because this tournament used to be the BEST EVER! For the following reasons... --It was a HOCKEY EVENT! Every team would bring all the fans they could and the venue would be packed or close to it. Greatest college hockey post season environment ever! Even beat out the FF most years. --Michigan Tech Band would show up and play their ASSES OFF around the arena although their team almost never made it. Priceless! --The X would be PACKED and CRAZY for rivalry games - Wisco cheeseheads - GOOF Fans - et al. Screaming and insanity in the aisles. The goal was to be obnoxious and give as good as you'd get! So would our fans! Now it's a tepid environment at best...an environment that doesn't seem to inspire our team at all. It's time to move on to a new thing I'd say. Bring home sites on!

"Sammy Sioux" is flat out a racist logo you a-hole. Just stop it. The Brien logo - actually a real work of art - has also been altered to look "slightly pissed" so you fucked with that too. The geometric logo has been rounded so it looks a "little different". It has been mentioned at least a couple of times on recent threads (including a couple of posts ago on this thread) that someone bought all of the mugs that had been left and sold them on Ebay. So YES we're dredging up a lot of old memories here but I actually sold a load of old Frenchy's mugs on Ebay! I found them in an old antique shop on the east side on Central avenue. 2 old people that bought them by the box for who knows how much and were selling them for $2 each. I bought probably 100 of them and sold them for about $10-20 each on Ebay - so Frenchy didn't exactly lose out on a million dollars but I made a few bucks. (I also have one of his nickel beer (6 oz) glasses that is priceless - I'll never sell that!) Best memory was a lady that bought one and asked if I had her mug with her sig on it - just so happened I DID! It blew her mind and I've never had a more satisfied customer in my life.s FYI for you oldsters! - I also have a bunch of the old original songbooks from the Piano Bar at the Westward HO along with the ORIGINAL Fishbowl recipes I bought at their auction - pm me if you're interested! (I did pretty good with those on Ebay too!) I'll give you a good deal!

Go for a small when you try it the first time. HORRIBLE location in the myriad of empty strip mall spots in GF. Lots of bad puns about being "Nauti" for the workers - we get it but ugghhh. -- Tropical Cafe - decent and a much better location. Smoothie was good but also substantial. We'll see....

Red Pepper has served bland tasteless "mexican" food to stupid drunk scandanavians for decades and convinced them somehow it's LEGENDARY! That being said - had a garbage plate or two back in the day that AT THE TIME was EXCELLENT but that's beside the point. Pete got a grant for the Food Truck - rented it out for several years before Steers owner Elias Dean eventually bought it to serve as a remote option for his brick and mortar restaurant that he started from scratch working his a** off so now he has options - problem with that? That food truck didn't cost GF taxpayers one dime. Stop acting like that was some big "LIBERAL" give-away - it was not! It worked out exactly like it was intended to do...and Elias has a great thing going with the food truck and Chino Latino.
