Ever think UND and the Ralph put a LOT of pressure on these players to "PERFORM" when there's a big "reunion" of alums or destination fans? That undermines the program or at least the future of it imo SO SORRY you went to Nashville or Vegas - spent a lot of money and the team "RUINED IT" when they lost after you partied your drunk ass-off and had "slightly" less than a great time. F*ck you? YES - Blame the team? okay...they had the skates on and lost - ask them. It's great to recognize old players and teams. EXPECTING the current team will RISE to the occasion and WIN just for the alums and (again) the drunk fans also doesn't help the bigger picture of why we don't have a better hockey team. It's just more sh*t they have to deal with rather than trying to better HOCKEY players.

For those of you who weren't there at the game EB's shift was EPIC! He skated out and around - might have had a couple shots of his own whiskey:-) seemed a little off balance but made it over to a goal and made of show of taking off his gloves. Pointed all around the arena then took of his North Dakota hockey jersey to reveal a Sioux Jersey underneath and proceeded to pound his chest like King Kong then skated out to join the UND line for introductions while the Ralph crowd lost their minds! TV was occupied so they rolled on some of it but didn't show the Eddie the Eagle Show in it's entirety but you could tell by the pre-game interview Midco did with him he loves UND as much as UND fans love him. A true Sioux Treasure that man!

too close to ralphing after too many beers I'd guess Northside has a solid rep but people thought they closed when they left the Gateway location. They have good breakfast and lunch crowds - evenings are spotty but they need to figure out how to cater to the Before/After Hockey crowds and they could enhance their business imo. They HAVE figured out how to charge cars $15 for parking lol - that was a no-brainer

WELL you did it again gfhockey! Stopped into Far East last friday for a takeout lunch and found out they were CLOSING that same day! Building and lot has been for sale for awhile. Is this because the GOBC gave them the kiss of death? Nah - as it turns out talked to the owner and she's been looking to sell for awhile and is moving out of the area for another business opportunity. Thanked her and ate my lunch then thought...IS IT WISE TO EAT AT A CHINESE BUFFET ON THE LAST DAY THEY'RE IN BUSINESS?? (cleaning out those fridges and all) Turns out everything "came out fine" in the end...sad to see them go though. Their Seafood Delight and Chicken Skewers were amazing - they will be missed. Growing their mung beans behind their garbage dumpster not so much but they never made me sick. Best of luck in their future endeavours!

Gotta say that! This is a huge win for their program and will boost their future DI endeavours. ASU didn't panic when they got behind - figured out a plan and stuck to it and eventually won with it. Big time props to ASU and good luck to them - they'll get some real DI credibility for this win. That being said imo Berry flat out got out-coached and it's hard to understand. The only thing I'd say is these destination games put a HUGE amount of pressure on the team and the coaches to perform. Maybe too much - good thing the "next" destination game is slated for 2025 at the earliest.

JT had his issues but at least he tried to provide info about GF. The day I switched KNOX off was the day this moron talked about Grand Forks Schools allowing kids who "identified" as "furries" to go the bathroom in a litterbox instead of going to a bathroom. SERIOUSLY? Don't you think your own kids might have come home and mentioned this? It turned out to be a national social media hoax by kids who - SHOCKINGLY - were trying to disturb/annoy their parents. This moron bought it hook, line and sinker without doing 1 ounce of research (and NOT on nutty internet sites but by actually calling local officials and (MAYBE-GASP) having them on your show to talk about it??) Talk radio can be great when they talk about real local issues and bring on people who can expand on the conversation - it's been a LONG time since KNOX has done that. They pick the low hanging political fruit and go with it...and it contributes NOTHING the betterment of GF as a community and we're suffering for it.

I also did a mercy subscription to the GF Herald for a year about a year ago (2 day paper and digital access) Missed the actual paper but it's become a lame joke - at least I can still use it to light my charcoal grill so there IS a value there but the digital access is to total cluster. Have to sign in frequently and slow "breaking" news. Totally not worth it and won't be re-upping this year. Sad but the Herald is going down like the Hindenburg and where else can you get local news? KNOX has also become a laughingstock of right wing idiots...completely unlistenable local talk radio but at least that idiot Cunningham has moved out of town (well close - from Thompson to Valley City - he just endlessly bitched about everything) Good Riddance!

Northside Cafe by the Ralph (Old Suite 49 location). Probably pretty busy on Sunday but worth it. The stuffed hashbrowns are amazing! Just a warning might take a while so be patient.

Not sure about that at ChinoLatino but GF actually has a Punjabi Indian Restaurant now (only took 125 years) called House of Punjab. Authentic and really good. If anyone does that they do.

Samosas! The ground beef ones are good but try the chicken ones too - they're AMAZING! Entree suggestion - The Korean Chicken with Gojuchang sauce. It's like the Red Peppers White Sauce but with actual FLAVOR (sorry Sioux fans:-))

Chino Latino is a MUCH better marketing name that Steers. Cooler - Hipper - more in line with their actual food offerings. Steers sounds like a cattle auction house:-) And YES the food is very good! Elias Deans' story is even better - check it out on his Facebook. PS - the folks who've taken over his old location (Mt. Everest - Taste of the Himalaya's) have their own game. Try the Chili Momo's as an app and go from there! You'll like it Geaux - you're adventurous! Great to see more than just another lame burger place open up in GF!

It's a work in progress - UND signed the contract so late Midco had basically a month to hire new talent. Taylor landed her job and had her first game the next weekend - did pretty well considering the situation! The Section 309 set was totally new last weekend and yes - there are issues they're working on. (The PA and music is INSANELY loud in the arena and they're right by the band) A little patience on the fan end would be helpful...

Never had a problem with Far East - their problem is their building is falling on itself (roof problems) and now I see that lot is for sale. Enjoy it while you can GFH - they do have great food when they're cooking it up. Best Chinese Buffet in GF even if it is in the scary scary "Northend" lol
