To repeat, I said UND was penalized by beating FBS Wyoming. UND should have lost a close game to another MVFC opponent instead to better match resumes with western Illinois

Over the last couple pages you just proved you had no idea how UND compared to Western, EIU, and UNH that year, but amazingly you still had all the answers. Typical Bison know it all just looking to argue. I don’t mind kids on my lawn; it’s those fat bison women peeing on the sidewalk that present the real hazard, especially at these temps.

My point was instead of beating FBS Wyoming, we should’ve scheduled another of those doggone tough MVFC teams, lost, gone 6-5, and gotten in the playoffs just like Western Illinois did.

I believe that was the year a 6-5 mvfc team got in. UND was 7-4.

Regarding your question on fbs losses....how about fbs wins? IIRC the year UND beat Wyoming, we got penalized for that win. Point being, the pollsters and playoff committee have an agenda, and depending on how a year plays out for their favorite teams, they adjust what they consider the most important criteria to judge on.

If we can outscore them, I like our chances..

The Jacks have two ‘quality losses’ and zero wins against top 25 teams. The next two weeks will be important for them to see if they really deserve a top ranking. So far, they’re the beneficiary of starting the year ranked high in the polls.

I have this feeling if we don't beat Weber, and end up finishing 7-4, we are going to be left out for teams that are 7-5 with no wins any more impressive than ours, but they've got a quality loss or two on their resume. (if we play Weber close and lose, that will just be interpreted as boy Weber sucks and they are overrated, so no quality loss for us.)

The guy moved Montana State up 7 spots after beating 2 win Southern Utah?? Makes UND’s win over MSU look better. But it sucks as it appears so much emphasis is put on blowing out bad teams.

I think the better question is will they take a 7-5 team with a quality loss over a 7-4 team without that quality loss. And unfortunately, we all know the answer.

Scheduling isn't our strong suit. The bend us over agreement with ndsu kept UND from scheduling another beatable out of conference opponent, and out of the playoffs in 2015. Same thing with this year's ndsu game, combined with only 11 games, unless we're able to win 8, we may be on the playoff fence. Depending on how this year plays out, Bubba's insistence on scheduling ndsu out of conference could result in him making the playoffs just once in six years vs. potentially 3 times in 6 years.
