I think moose was mentioned briefly in one of the threads during the nickname debate/debacle. I would’ve definitely been on board with that choice once no nickname was eliminated.

Isn’t your second point true for the first game of every season ?? But yet in this particular years’ home opener, tickets are magically, coincidentally way more expensive than normal. Unless it feels like a home game for UND due to the thousands upon thousands of tickets being sold to UND fans, your attempt at painting the game as not a big deal to bison fans will not have any merit

To get the ball rolling on a potential new nickname, I contacted SME and asked if they would be interested in producing another logo for UND. I just heard back from them this morning :

the current roster of bison football players don't get to determine if this is a rivalry or not. just like bison fans don't get to determine that peeing on sidewalks in downtown Minneapolis is a socially acceptable practice.
