  1. Anyone notice the push #94 was getting today? He was causing some serious disruption! also, Norbergs is starting to do a better job of finding gaps, making cuts, and eluding tacklers. I can't wait for next week!
  2. Bummer that we let the Montana receiver get behind us to set up the field goal. That shouldn't have happened. But, this team is on its way and getting better every week. Too bad we had to open the conference against the 3 top teams. Who knows how these games would have played out in November.
  3. Anyone having more problems than usual getting the AmericaOne stream to work? Usually I have to go thru about 5login screens before I get the game, but today I can't get the stream to run for more than a play before it locks up.
  4. I hope you're right. We'll know for sure when we get into the BSC schedule. A true freshman ran for 200 yards against us tonight though. On the bright side, we got a win, and the defense can take credit for the win, so again, I hope you're right.
  5. Not sure that I have noticed the difference yet.
  6. Molberg's days may be numbered.
  7. On Shaug's carries, he didn't just run thru wide open holes, he used good vision, made cuts, showed acceleration. what isn't to like?
  8. why on God's earth are we not getting Shaugabay in the game.
  9. Doesn't Tillman have just one year of eligibility left?
  10. I there are a lot of things to like in this year's class. I like the areas we recruited. I think the number of kids we got in each of the positions was about right. I think the class has plenty of talent. I like that there are a number of kids with strong academics. I was initially a little worried about how well Bubba would be able to recruit, but after watching his press conference, I think there is a lot to be excited about with the future of UND football.
  11. That is not a true statement. Bartels improved considerably. Both Molberg and Bartels did as well as you could expect when given 2 seconds to get rid of the ball. O-line needs to step up.
  12. We already have close to 40 ND and MN kids on the roster. I think a little much is being made of our "lack of local recruiting". Like or not, we will need kids from the Twin Cities, and Illinois has treated us very well lately with the likes of Cheatum, Bartels, Reyes, Kuska, Golliday, and Sharp. I think it would be great to win the recruiting battles in ND, but those 3 or 4 kids aren't going to be enough to build a successful recruiting class off of. Likewise, winning the northern half of Minnesota by dominating the recruiting scene in that hot bed of football talent otherwise known as Beltrami county isn't going to be enough. I don't think our teams have suffered from a lack of talent; the issues have been drive, desire, leadership. Kids like MdGill and Kuska have it and can be tremendous assets to the program. If we pass on those types of kids for someone more "local", we won't see the success everyone here is dreaming about.
  13. I think we all expected the next Craig Bohl. Someone from and FBS school that was on their way up. In hindsight, I think it would be fair to say that NDSU got Bohl because he had some off the field issues at Nebraska that made him have to take a step back on his way up the chain. Seeing Bohl leave NDSU for Wyoming only makes it more obvious that getting an FBS assistant to take an FCS head coaching position is a long shot. At best, it would be a lateral move for them, and that is only if they came from a weak FBS school. I feel we have a solid group of coaches in place so far. They will provide UND with the experience and discipline the program needs. If I were a recruit and wanted to play early, these guys are the type of coaches I would want in place - coaches whose experience will identify what a kid needs to do to be ready to play.
  14. At this point, Faison has two options. Pull a rabbit out of his hat and hire someone we didn't know about, or look like a clown compared to GT. I didn't think option two was possible, but I think tha is what we are going to get.
  15. I would like to see a coach come in who can get young talent on the field quickly. I am tired of hearing about the good group of young LBs, hearing that J Butler is stud, etc, and then hearing they don't understand their assignments and roles in the defense well enough to be playing yet. So the biggest priority in my opinion would be getting a defense in place that is based on the strengths and talents of the players on the roster, and is implemented in a way that doesn't keep good players off the field.
  16. I originally thought there was no way Pflugrad would consider being an OC at UND, but with him not even being considered for the HC position at UND or Weber, what are the chances that he might consider this?
  17. 4 at best. I can live with Bubba or DeBoer, but can't believe there wasn't another candidate that at least warranted a 3rd interview. also, with it coming down to Bubba and DeBoer, why is this taking so long? One of these two should have been on board last week and could probably have prevented Daryl brown from leaving.
  18. Does anyone thing gfhockey migh be Bubba. He has been awfully positive lately.
  19. I do t get it. These guys think they aren't good enough to play D1 football? Or are they leaving because the team won't be any good with players like them on it?
  20. Agree. Both QBs can throw an accurate ball and Goliday will be the guy they are looking for.
  21. When you only throw 10 passes a game, your rushing stats are going to be a little inflated. How many games did Army win this year?
