  1. I have had the same concerns about some of the lifts I see these kids doing. End range loading with near max weight is going to take its toll and might be part of the reason injuries are at an epidemic rate compared to what they were 25 years ago. UND isn't doing something a lot of other schools aren't doing, but there are experts out there who discourage some of the more aggressive positions involved in Olympic lifts, especially withh heavy weight.
  2. If I heard correctly. At one point Montana had completed 35 of 40 passes and still couldn't run on CP. CP will make us beat them thru the air, and if we aren't willing to do that, it will be a.long day for the Hawks.
  3. Thanks. Didn't know about this.
  4. Who are the two losses you feel they are guaranteed to get?
  5. After watching that clip, I am excited to have jack Michaels back.
  6. Being a very early walk on... doesn't that mean he is still pretty much up for grabs?

Idaho state is the team on that list for me. Their AD showed a total lack of respect in not getting us in the playoffs.

I think knauf was talking about the interior line when he said we have three spots to fill.
  9. Crandall played senglen tight on that play and.forced him to take.a very tough shot. You could tell.by the way crandall.was playing him, he knew.had help if senglen drove. I liked.the.plan. Senglen was just unconscious and knocked.down the shot.
  10. Anyone know anything about these guys? UND has released their 2016 spring football roster. There are a few notable changes and additions to the roster. LB Corby Richman of Tower City, ND. Assuming a relation to UND MBB player James Richman. LB Hayden Vogel of Fergus Falls, MN. LB Mike Thingstad of Velva, ND. Are they spring semester walk-ons? transfers? High school early grads?
  11. I am assuming there are a few sports medicine guys on this forum. What do you guys think of the end range loading these players are getting when they're maxing out on Olympic lifts? Safe? Not safe and may be leading to a higher injury rate?

With Harris,Carter, JIS, Reyes, arnell, carter #2, tucker, and maybe a couple of red shirts pulled next year, we will have a lot of quality guys competing for playing time. how far away are we from having the secondary being on par with the rest of the defense?

    2016 Season

Games 2 and 3 could easily be the roughest games of the year, especially with 4 new guys on the o line. Our new o line is going to need to be able to pick up run block and pass protection pretty quick if we want to head into conference play with a winning record.
  14. Great fan base and high expectations! Welcome aboard.
  15. Glad to see we continue to recruit the Illinois area. We have gotten some good talent there

i dont see him jumping ahead of harris, carter, or jjs at db. Maybe he plays at safety, but if he isn't a solid contributor there why not trade a year or mediocre play for a year as a fifth year senior, especially for kid that young?

how about red shirting a year and moving to db?
  18. Glad to see ratelle getting the recognition he deserves. Hard to believe he accomplished what he did at north Dakota with only being a tso year starter.
  19. No concerns at all. We have a lot of players on our roster who only had 1 D1 offer, and it seems to be working out pretty well. Sometimes coaches miss on good players. How many offers did Reyes, Olivera, Adler, Kuska, and Hardin have? Sometimes coaches miss badly - Goliday, Schobert, and Santiago. There are a lot of good football players out there and our coaches seem to be doing a good job finding them.

agree with that. No long runs from Santiago, and a couple of times when santiago tried the stiff arm, CP was able to keep their angle and run through the stiff arm.
  21. Anyone remember Lamar Gordon? He was a bison RB who played in the NFL...and never scored a touchdown against UND in 4 years. UND 41 Cal poly 13
  22. agree. This puts us in the top 3. If e. Wash. wins, I still don't know that they look any stronger than we do. We both beat Portland state, get blown out by Montana, and didn't beat any other ranked teams. We have an FBS win and they don't.
  23. i don't see EWU and UND both bbeing a lock if they get to seven wins. If Montana gets to 7, they.could be the third team in. The big sky probably isn't getting 5 teams in even of they have 5 at 7 wins. In fact, I think e. Wash. might be out already with at most one quality win at Portland state, which is unlikely.
  24. agree both TOs were completely on studsrud

    Montana State

how about moving him to safety next year AND redshirting him. With nevermann and the wisco kid seacrest coming in I just don't see a lot of RB time in his future. He could still run the ocassioal sweep.
