3 miles South of 32nd. It has an overpass on I29 but not an interchange. It would be named 77th Ave S but it has a Thompson directional name.
-
East Grand Forks should change its name to Northeast Grand Forks, because that’s what it is. The northern part of EGF sprawls way further north with residential homes than Grand Forks can imagine and the south end doesn’t touch GF’s Lincoln Golf Course. EGF is far from a symetrical twin. A bridge to Mill Road or Highway 81 on the north would have far more traffic than a S 47th Ave Bridge. But GF business and shopping district is now 32nd Ave S, and that where people want to go.
-
Not at all beneficial to the east side. Nothing there and have to dive both north and south. It wouldn’t even leak off traffic at the Point Bridge. Dont see traffic at “rush” hours at the Point Bridge, but the rest of the day it’s typically residential traffic.

And Dan Hawkins did the same thing at Davis. Both of these coaches have the resume for FBS. FCS is just biding their time before they get back to FBS. Sac St paid their last coach $180 k / per year so I doubt they triple the new coaches pay. Sacramento will probably be skipped in the next MLS expansion sweepstakes again, the Raiders are leaving, and FBS has a fertile field there. It will happen. Coaching may be more than money, but that’s what Boise St and Florida St said before they lost their coaches to UW and A&M for more $s. NDSU admin are not sitting around twiddling their FBS thumbs, no matter what bison trolls say.
-
So the OC at Utah took the Sac St job. He was making $500 k at Utah, so Sac St had to sign him to a long term contract. A half million is unheard of for FCS, but if it’s later FBS that’s a good deal. Going FBS with the WAC, Sac St will have problems on the field, so Troy Taylor will need long term assurances. If Sac St was staying FCS, they sure wouldn’t have given a seven year or eight year contract. http://www.hornetsports.com/sports/fball/2018-19/releases/20181217l02pyo

What is the projected traffic? A two lane bridge doesn’t seem to have much impact, like the Point Bridge shows. This brdge would probably just siphon off traffic from the Point Bridge. The idea that 32nd east of Washington will be another like around Columbia is far fetched for another generation. Belmont Road hasn’t turned into a disaster because of the Point Bridge.

Heard a rumor that his GF house hasn’t sold yet so his family is still living in GF.

Sanford would have to launch a new bribe campaign in states where Sanford Medical doesn’t reach. The WAC has been named by Dixie St and Metro St as having interest in them. KC doesn’t have even daily flights to SF. WAC travel is almost exclusively by plane. This time we can offer an “aye” vote if the money doesn’t have other strings, like renaming the medical school Sanford. -

So no matter what conference we are in, four bus trips for each sport is the best possible. The same goes for the Montanas and Idaho. Guess Kennedy should have directed us out of the NCHC too then, just keep the old NSIC footprint with Upper Michigan. WMU, Miami, BGSU, And Ferris can be with DU and CC and UAH and the Alaskas. But back to the point, for some odd reason, an 11th spot in the MVFC mysteriously happened when the media down south always said we weren’t wanted. That’s what forced us to the BSC to begin with. -

Was it short sighted when the other three Dakotas accepted $ from Sanford to build new arenas and stadiums? Sanford is calling in his IOUs to go to bat for Augie. -

Anyone doubt that Augie has access to some major Sanford money? http://siouxfalls.business/augustana-2030-vision-calls-for-move-to-division-i-university/ Sanford is 82 and has pledged to give away his $2.2 billion before death. He might give a substantial part of that to Augie. -

NCAA playoffs that don’t break even like FCS, Volleyball, Women’s basketball, soccer etc have home court advantages until later rounds. Thats just the way it is.

The Summit League could have offered Lindenwood (St Louis private) or Southern Indiana (just built a new campus arena in Evansville): but it hasn’t and at least USI still wants DI. -

Carrol College is just NAIA, so it would take couple years of DII transition (to where with the GNAC having next to no ftball),seven years in DII to qualify to go DI, and five years of a DaI transition. Carroll also has lower enrollment, endowment and doesn’t have a billionaire bankrolling a move up. A DII school in Denver would make more sense, like Regis or Metro St or even UC-CS. On a SD board, someone said Sanford is paying for the Summit office rent in SF, and Midco is based there. Midco and Sanford are the prominent drivers of Augie in my estimation. Midco will gain much with a SF school. Augie plans to expand their undergrad offerings, grad offerings, expand enrollment, and greatly increase their endowment according to the Argu Leader link. Someone, suspect it is Sanford, will bankroll that. Augie can waive athletic scholarship tuition because as a private school, that is often done. So DI wouldn’t necessarily raise athletic costs except for travel, room and board and coach salaries. The enrollment increase can easily justify that. -
The Summit is now rated the 29th league by RPI, mixing it up with the MEAC and SWAC. Meanwhile the Big Sky is up to 16th. Don’t think UND switching had much to with those conference switching places. http://warrennolan.com/basketball/2019/conferencerpi

This is why I have confidence that more western teams are coming in. Denver and ORU know that, or they could move back to the WAC in a second. ORU very well might. PUFW and W Ill can take a hike. Rather have the Northern part of the Big Sky. Augie doesn’t help solidify the Summit for at least six years, so the Summit Presidents have to know that another Dakota school wouldn’t cause those other non-I29 schools to leave. -
Don’t know about anyone leaving, but Tiffin is from Winnipeg, and Canada has some good prospects.

Revenue is in quotations, meaning conference will be looking at how the addition of Denver makes revenue sharing economic. Hockey and lacrosse are almost irrelevant on conference decisions. Denver has made it know in the past that it wants the West Coast Conference, but they don’t want them because DU doesn’t create new basketball revenue, yet. -
