The problem is that after the vastly depleted senior class (Avants and Seales are the focus of this team), the junior and sophomore classes don’t offer much, yet. Allen-Eikens could bring the next class up more.

Need another Avants. This time taller.

At the rate that gas production is growing, North Dakota will need to build a major $200 M NG plant every month to keep from flaring the excess. Only seven plants are scheduled to be built by 2020. The Bakken oil wells produce more natural gas as they age, unlike oil, which depletes much faster while nat gas keeps increasing for many years. Almost all the wells drilled since the Bakken boom are producing more nat gas so the climb has just begun. https://www.willistonherald.com/news/bakken-crude-back-on-infrastructure-treadmill/article_1acc8bc6-ef8d-11e8-868a-477c6d99dce0.html

The potential impact on UND, Grand Forks and North Dakota is huge. A cheap golf course should be built further west, not resurrected in the middle of town.

Sac St, Davis, Poly, UM and Mont St seem to be awfully trigger happy compared to years ago. Have expressed my beliefs for why.

Did Kostich get saved because the lack of ST protection fell on Knauf?

The Sweet Sixteen should be a goal, not appearances. -
The idea that Bubba would allow that to officially happen during the season is nearly preposterous. Pave the way for someone else beneath you to take the OC’s job? It can happen with players but not coaches.

A family is bound to be uprooted several times if a career in coaching is chosen. The wife wouldn’t want that if it really wasn’t important to him, so she agreed to that lifestyle.

Both USD and Denver made the NCAA tournament, so the Summit actually got an at large bid. https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/volleyball-women/d1/2018 USD got a 9th seeded Creighton and Denver got Utah. Stanford, Minnesota, Illinois and BYU were the top four seeds, so the Summit teams were not an immediate sacrificial offering. The MVC also got two in;with UNI and Illinois St. The two bids is a major victory for The Summit League and for recruiting. Get rid of W Illinois now and add the Montanas and Idaho.

NORTH DAKOTA vs AA Gameday Thread (SATURDAY)

Maybe GFC isn’t a bad comparison. GFC beat defending Class A Minnesota champion Orono tonight 10-0. -
The CAA isn’t performing for having six teams. Elon lost to Wofford Towson is losing to Duquesne in the 4th SEMO is beating Stony Brook in the 4th JMU beating fellow CAA school Delaware Montana St holding a slim lead over Incarnate Word

I’m with Johnnyboy this, Notre Dame has too much animus towards the Big Ten historically to ever have its football in the B1G. With the B1G now at 14, the league almost can’t go much bigger as there would be major scheduling and championship issues. Why water down the chances of Ohio St, Mich, or Penn St getting a CFP bid? Kansas and Oklahoma can probably pried out of the Big 12, but why not then split the B1G into a Great Plains conference and a Great Lakes Conference? The B1G went for Rutgers instead of playing the long game for Va and UNC. Those schools fanbases would barf at northern schools, except those cities are now liberal bastions. It needs at least a generation more to happen. UNC and Duke May hate each other on the surface, but they know they need each other.

Will be interesting who wins the MVC tournament. UNI and Illinois St are both ranked near Denver, but the MVC has more status as it used to contain Wichita St and Creighton. SDSU and Western Illinois really stank up the Summit power ratings though, and UND wasn’t that much better.
-
The Summit won't be FBS until after they have all transitioned to FBS. The WAC can give out affiliate memberships for FBS to anyone they like. The Summit just needs eight FBS playing schools and then it's an FBS conference per the NCAA. Denver, Omaha and even Augie or Seattle can just tag along. Think the WAC might invite 24 schools altogether so all the transition teams from the Summit, WAC and ASUN (CAA fb mostly) have plenty of possible games. Just like the MAC when transitioned FBS schools have finished, those FBS affiliate invites will go their separate ways (UCF, UMass).

Heard that recently signed Kacie Borowicz’s sophomore sister may be a major catch. The older Borowicz already plays at Moorhead St. Roseau has been a major power in Minnesota basketball with those three sisters.

Vote was 54% for, 46% against. So it was approved. http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/education/4532288-und-students-vote-build-80-million-memorial-union

My take is that one transfer can louse up the entire team’s chemistry. That’s where Pryor has to better, especially in getting a player leader to step up. He’s probably looking again to get a Merseli type to transfer.

It’s not a personal attack if it’s true of all the bison trolls! They made it self evident.
-
Am projecting the the Summit League will be shored up with the Montanas, Idaho and Weber St at the early date. TSL will have to play FCS for a couple seasons and then move football over to the WAC for just two seasons to get FBS. When those eight now FBS are back, the Summit League would be a stand-alone FBS League.
-
Nearly all FBS schedules have been set.
-
Texas wants a deal like Notre Dame. Both have a separate contract and Texas wants to keep it. The ACC will take Texas and a travel partner like TCU or Rice. Tobacco Road has so many arrogant schools that they would gladly take UT.
-
Will no longer respond to trolls. They bring the collective IQ down so much. The new WAC will not be the current WAC. They have told that but it always goes in their a** rather than their mindless brain.
-
NDSU and UND for the millionth time would not be joining the WAC full time. Reading retention shows that you have dementia from the brain hits during fb.

Already said cutting baseball and WIH practically negates the cost of FBS and other Title IX issues. There is more cutting that can be done like men’s tennis. UND has to get their fb staff right before FBS can proceed with a target of beginning the transition in 2022. How does La-Monroe and Coastal Carolina afford FBS when they both have less than $30 mill endowment? Both have lower enrollments than UND. UND is above almost all of the Sun Belt in academics and athletic facilities. So if the Montanas, South Dakota and NDSU have already said “Let’s go FBS”, there would be refusal on your part as director of Siouxsports realignment, and revert to the Northern Sun. But of course one is supposed to dominate FCS like NDSU has before a school can even think about FBS. The idea that UND and FBS can go together just enrages the bison trolls.
