I have a feeling this is the case, and it just hasn't come to light yet (maybe it never will).

This has been UND's offensive problem for a long time. I understand the desire to run the ball, but not all game situations are suitable for running. Need an O-line (ours was ok to good), need a QB (our was good then regressed to bad), need an OC (ours was a second choice that probably was "forced" on the new HC to have a one-year trial period - a test he didn't pass IMO). Now, wanting an O-line, QB, and offensive genius OC is what everyone wants but supply is limited. It's like saying a basketball team needs big guy down low. Yeah, everyone knows that and wants that, but that doesn't mean you're going to get it.

Yeah, I’ll count that since it’s not technically a power play. I’m not a hockey statistician - is an extra attacker goal denoted on a stat sheet?

Yes. No. Not that it isn't special, but then you'd also have to count goals by forwards, centers, and defensemen separately, too.

Is that all the possible ways to score a goal?

Yes, been pondering things like that, too. This season, UND also played more games than NDSU, and won more playoff games than NDSU.

My brain. No way a first year coach who improved the program over the last several years is on the hot seat. Now if we’re talking OC, yes. I’ll give it a 70/30 chance he’s gone Monday.

Even with 2 playoff games, football season is so short, especially when compared to hockey. Hard to believe we have to wait 9 months until we follow a game again. 😕

Last weekend I signed up for ESPN+ to watch the football game (turned out to be a good choice, since I get at least one more), but anyway, the NCAA volleyball tournament started tonight. I noticed the opening round games were on ESPN+ so I watched a few different ones for a while, and one I happened to stumble upon was actually the Div. III semi-final, won by UW-Oshkosh. I looked up their coach: Jon Ellmann - Head Coach - Women's Volleyball Coaches - University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Athletics He seems to bring a lot to the table. Would like to see someone like that in Grand Forks.

Not sure how much this matters, but Simon does not have experience playing with these WRs.

I didn't realize the younger Starcevic was getting P4 offers. I think the brother/family connection could help this play out the way you decribed.
