Even with 2 playoff games, football season is so short, especially when compared to hockey. Hard to believe we have to wait 9 months until we follow a game again. 😕

Was just going to say that UND scores 37 (5 TD and 1 safety) today. Other team scores less than that (somewhere in the 20s).

And throw some 10-20 yarders to Deng, Fleming, Demontagnac.

Best use for him IMO too. Let's start using an "all of the above" offensive strategy and bury teams in this playoff.

Last weekend I signed up for ESPN+ to watch the football game (turned out to be a good choice, since I get at least one more), but anyway, the NCAA volleyball tournament started tonight. I noticed the opening round games were on ESPN+ so I watched a few different ones for a while, and one I happened to stumble upon was actually the Div. III semi-final, won by UW-Oshkosh. I looked up their coach: Jon Ellmann - Head Coach - Women's Volleyball Coaches - University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Athletics He seems to bring a lot to the table. Would like to see someone like that in Grand Forks.

Not sure how much this matters, but Simon does not have experience playing with these WRs.

Man, this class looks good on paper. Just seeing all those offers from schools is so reassuring. Is this that "special" class we've been all been dreaming about??

I didn't realize the younger Starcevic was getting P4 offers. I think the brother/family connection could help this play out the way you decribed.

A little slow this morning? I thought it was frantic with posts/tweets on signing day morning before.

Offers out of HS were UND and Army. A little surprised there weren't more. And a little surprised he didn't pick UND from the start.

Starcevic was completely unexpected, right? (Other than the vague speculation that began yesterday?)

I did get a vibe of quiet confidence from him.

Looked it up: '98 and '99.

I just want to pause for a moment to reflect that we are all here talking about a SECOND playoff game. And signing day is tomorrow, so it's fun to have a present AND a future to be excited about.

I would also say going on the road and handily beating SUI was a nice feather in the cap.

I've seen some good flashes on offense the last couple games to make me believe they can pull through if the defense keeps up their spectacular play. Game-tying drive, which required a successful 2-point conversion, showed some moxie that had been missing in other games in similar situations. Getting Z back to sort of resurrect a power run game in the 4th quarter is another example. Getting Deng Deng involved in the passing game has given us an option for moving the chains and getting in the end zone. Scoring 31 (like was done in each of the last two games) can get you a long ways when complimented by a stout defense. Now imagine if our offense actually clicks on all cylinders for a whole game.

I am assuming there is Monday press conference? Will be interesting to hear what the staff has to say about certain players.
