  1. Can’t wait until UND is playing in this game.
  2. And MSU comes right back and scores in 20 seconds. Unreal.
  3. ISU on the board, now down 14-7.
  4. Rittenhouse overthrew a receiver on what would have been a touchdown.
  5. Illinois State got hosed on that OPI call. Should be 1st & goal.
  6. Like always, a grueling second half begins next weekend. 3 of the next 7 opponents are in the NPI top 10, 3 more are in the top 30. Only CC (at #34) is in the bottom half of the NPI, and barely.
  7. Perhaps, but you also don't have the history of disappoinments.
  8. All I could think of when this shot came on the TV is "welcome to sports, kid." A lifetime of mostly disappointment, and it doesn't get easier with age.
  9. I’m still pulling for Czechia. UND’s WJC representation can commiserate together 🙂
  10. I think we can quit the Homer experiment after tonight. Spunar the rest of the way.
  11. Zellers had a good look on the PP.
  12. Goaltending been better today.
  13. I don't think he'd take a coordinator position - he's HC material.
  14. I'm gonna throw out a conspiracy theory - Jerry announced his plans to return once he knew Fruechte was leaving and said he wanted to play for Danny, since he was recruited by him, so Schmidt is bringing Danny back.
  15. What position does his brother play?
  16. Someone give me a brief synopsis of this kid.
  17. I had not heard of Brent Brekke before today. Bio says he was born in Minot. He's been coaching at the collegiate level since 1999, currently head coach of St. Lawrence.
  18. Found what I was looking for here: https://teamusa.usahockey.com/page/show/721947-world-junior-championship-all-time-roster
  19. A little off topic, but have there been North Dakota-born (or claimed a ND hometown) players on the WJC Team?
  20. Yikes!!
  21. I knew that was coming. USA looking lifeless so far.
  22. I had never heard of the WJC until 2004 when Parise helped win USA's first gold and then the Ralph was set to host starting later the same year. Ever since then, though it's been a highlight of the Christmas / New Year's period when the colleges are on break. I don't follow the NHL much.
  23. Yep, no doubt.
  24. I was told by someone that the event has gotten too large for Grand Forks to be the primary host, so I figured a city with an NHL arena and fan base (Winnipeg) would help make the case. But perhaps Fargo and Grand Forks would do, too.
