I do share some of this sentiment too. It would be nice to see North Dakota (without the "State") on the bracket, though.

I am a little surprised that Denver and Western Michigan can't change places considering they play each other next, and the winner of that game would potentially play (and could beat) #1.

Getting a little ahead of ourselves, but IMO playing a first-four game would be awesome for a couple reasons: - It would not overlap with any other tournament game, so we would get all college basketball viewership. - We would have a decent chance to win that game, which would be great for the program to win on that stage.

I know he did say that, and I am not saying the committee wouldn't do that, but the committee also makes changes based on attendance purposes. Say the committee has this dilemma: Send the #1 overall seed 1500 miles away from their campus to play the worst overall team in the tournament in a venue that they (the worst team) chose; OR, send the #1 overall seed to play the second worst team in the tournament in a venue that's 300 miles from their campus that can easily be filled with their large traveling fanbase. To me, if the committee is interested in "protecting" the top overall seed, sending them to Worcester does not do that. Plus, the optics of a full regional, which has been increasingly uncommon in the neutral-site era, would be so much better for the sport. I would like to think that the UND team/staff would prefer to play the second worst team in Sioux Falls rather than playing the worst team in Worcester, but it's possible I'm wrong.

Eliminating Omaha certainly increased the likelihood. Even if Holy Cross wins, I still feel that Michigan or Michigan state could be sent to that regional, since there’s essentially a tie of the top three teams.

They can play 4 in total even if they sweep this weekend. No need to play an extra game at this point.

Not that it matters too much, but I wonder if Alex doing PxP is confirmed, or just an assumption. He was broadcasting from the Summit League BB Tournament last night for Midco, and with CBSSN doing games later in the weekend, he's also done a lot of work for them.

And why is TODAY hate day? Are they talking about the Summit League Basketball game between UND and Denver? The next time UND and Denver could possibly play in hockey won't be until March 21.
