That's kind of what I was thinking. Do whatever it takes. Nothing would energize our community and alumni like that game.

Here's what's really needed at the Alerus - a game against NDSU. Make it happen.

UND vs. NDSU for the right to play in Brookings?!! Think we could outbid them to host?!

Last week, I was thinking that that would be UND's best chance to host a playoff game, but there are others that think UND could out-bid SDSU if they were both playing in the first round.

I think some of it is our (UND FB fans) own doing. I know many of us thought that we had an easy schedule going into the season, which is why the expectations for a good record were really high. (Many were thinking 9-2, which is actually still possible. Some thought 10-1 was possible, and pretty much everyone agreed that anything less than 8-3 would be a disappointment.) But it's appearing that as the season rolls on, the 2016 schedule is NOT full of cupcakes like some thought, so the fact that we are still on track for potential 8-3 or 9-2 is really an indication that the team is probably exceeding expectations (thus far). I think the fans expectations are adjusting as the season moves too. Did anyone think that talk of a top 8 seed in FCS playoffs would appear on this board in 2016? (Still don't know if we're top 8 material, but it's been put out there.)

I was examining the standings and schedules and realized that to this point UND has done enough to control its own destiny as far as being regular season champions and hosting the post season tournament. Just have to keep winning all the rest of their games. (The same could be said of NAU too). Not saying it's going to happen, but it's kind of nice not to have to depend on other teams winning or losing.

I really thought the timeout (point #6) was the turning point of the game. Right up before that I was preparing for a close game to the finish.

No doubt! If had to summarize this team, I would say "the offense is good, the defense is better, and special teams are questionable." Today I think the offense was better than the defense.

Best case scenario is that after taking care of business against Southern Utah, we get a big lead against Idaho State, and get our starters a rest for half a game, and treat that as our bye week. I am starting to believe that our schedule isn't a cakewalk - if the season ended now, Cal Poly is a playoff team, and Weber State is on the bubble - so every game has something big on the line.

So, Steph Ziegler came in to serve the last point - had she played previously? If she has, I haven't noticed. I was figuring she was being red-shirted.

That will be a tough way to close the season, with a potential Big Sky tournament hosting on the line.

SAC and NAU still have to play each other twice, so we have that going for us as well.
