Does his daughter play for osu? No? I think that's kind of a straw man argument. This isn't something that I really want to argue about. I just think that UND should be the most important priority to anyone that was on the iac, especially after seeing what awful decisions they made.

So you think it's OK to have someone who cheers against UND to be on the iac? He obviously doesn't care about UND that much. Perhaps he was more worried about being PC than cutting sports, something that would have been better for und athletics in the long run, because after all, OSU will be doing well either way.

I think he should support his employer, imo. He especially should not have been on the iac if he is not invested in und athletics.

Really? Big Sky Basketball is one of the worst conferences in the country. Right now it's ranked 29th of 32.

Ranking sports on University campuses across the country is irrelevant to any decisions that should be made at UND. How does Duke basketball being on TV benefit the basketball program here? (it doesn't). UND hockey and the NCHC, rather than the Big Sky, has a contract with CBS Sports Network for a reason. The ASU program is two years old, has no success yet, and they still play in a high school arena in the desert. Wouldn't doubt that they don't have a lot of support. The funny thing is (as much as I like UND basketball) the ASU hockey team already has 11.7K twitter followers, compared to 3.2K for UND basketball. Which is a black hole?

Mens/Womens swimming and diving has close to a million dollar budget. Wouldn't have to worry about title 9 and they could close the hyslop swimming pool. It would be funny if he didn't cut anything again (not really).

The remaining WAC schools, of course. Then we will use the WAC name to move up to FBS.

This. More money to pay for a new basketball coach and perhaps to pay for some home d1 basketball games, and more money for the assistant football coaches is badly needed. Instead it's going to softball and swimming and golf.

Jones is not coming back. He would have given Jones an extension if that was the case. He doesn't want to waster money on a buy out, and that is the only reason Jones is still here.
