To be honest, I had a few classes with him - incredibly nice guy, and funny, but I don't think he would have jived well with Bubba. From talking with him, it sounded like a players coach would be a better fit for him, if you know what I mean. Glad that he made it to Memphis, I know he wanted to go to a big time college environment, and they have been pretty good. Too bad he can't finish the year out.

Wow tickets are flying. If there is a significant % of season ticket holders that buy playoff tickets, I think we could see 10k - scratch my origianal 7-8K estimate. There is already a big difference between this morning at about 10 AM and about 6 PM this evening. After all, Grand Forks does like a winner... Just wish I could make it up there!

There are potentially thousands that are already heading to new york. I was planning to also but my gf couldn't get off work. The drive up to GF now looks likely, but I think it will be close to 7k (if we are lucky)

Thats how I feel too after they were complaining about the schedule so much at the beginning of the season. Their fans are as awful as bison fans.

Holy crap! I looked up the new rink after reading this thread - new rink is VERY impressive!

I still blame Jones for the schedule. How much did that Italy trip cost? They claimed that they raised the cash for it by playing money games. I don't see why they can't play more money games to get some cash to bring teams to the Betty. I mean, it's not like Jones does well in non conference games anyway... It would also help our RPI if we made it to the dance. IMO the Italy trip was a huge waste of money. The "team chemistry" that was built certainly didn't transfer into wins.

We also need to cheer for Montana to lose, obviously. If Montana loses and SDSU wins, we will pretty much be guaranteed a home playoff game in the first round if we are not seeded.

How the !@#$ is the ISU guy still on the committee after the screw job last year?

In regards to the budget deficit, UND football averaged about 1,600 more fans this year. Assuming 5 games at $15 a pop, football just covered about $120,000, and next year should be even better if the team keeps performing. Anyone know what the split is between UND and the alerus center? I know the financials show 0 revenue for football concessions.
