I believe that ordinance is only for the city government and doesn't really apply to anyone else.

Can't copy Hawaii

If UND becomes the "Pride" or "Spirit" I may have to quit watching college sports.....
-
Nearly all schools start with a warm-up game (other than the crappy schools being used as punching bags).
-
Wow I'll take ndsu and EWU. They're both going to lose, but I think the games will be closer than that.
-
First step is winning games. Although I love our schedule this year, should things go poorly (blowouts by the bad guys) in those games against SDSU, UM, and MSU it could kill attendance for a long time. The team and the coaches need to put a product on the field that people want to watch. I'd love to see some dances/chants by the student section this year. It makes it more fun for those students which keeps them coming back to games.

Please refrain from using the word "herd" when referring to UND football. Thank you.

I feel like DaveK is one of our resident bizun fans. When it seems like the whole world disagrees with you, you may want to step back and say to yourself "hmm, maybe I'm wrong."

Matt Cooke makes dirty checks and takes cheap shots on players. You may think he's a gritty player, but that is only your opinion. As much as you wish it was a fact, it is not. Sorry, but you have zero chance to win this debate. You would have been better off had you simply never tried to argue. With that having been said, I'm glad you are going to drop out of this particular exchange. One can only point out the fact that the sky is blue so many times, if the other individual refuses to accept the truth then that is just the way it's going to have to be. You seriously need to see hockey from a worldwide perspective rather than this tunnel vision dirty tactics Gopher style bastardized version of the game. One does not have to actually be a Sioux fan to recognize that the hard-work approach to the game of hockey is by far the best one.

Gritty players make solid checks and work hard along the boards. Dirty players take out knees and throw elbows.
-
I'll say it again, when a player takes out as many knees and hits as many people in the head as Cooke has, then it's not a fluke or coincidence anymore. He is a dirty player. "Goons" = Bad. Dirty players = Acceptable. Ok. You like dirty players who take a cheap shot and then hide behind the ref. Ok.
-
There's a difference between trying to injure people with cheap shots and duking it out in a fair fight. Cooke repeatedly goes for people's knees and he always seems to have his elbows up. When it happens so often it's not a fluke play anymore, it's a problem. In a fight both players know whats happening and are ready for whatever happens, going after players' knees and trying to headhunt players who aren't looking is inexcusable. Now at least I understand why you cheer for the gophers, you have an affinity for cheap players who refuse to fight. Did you ever like anything about UND hockey other than the Fighting Sioux name?

Ugh, I hate that our student section is attempting to challenge the Goofs for spelling bee champion now. WORST. THING. EVER.
-
I actually do cheer for the Blackhawks, but to me that's even more reason to have a different song.
-
MSU. Hopefully it'll show that last year's game was a fluke and we can be competitive with the top of the BSC. Montana may be at the top of the BSC by the end of the season but in my opinion a win against them that early in the season wouldn't be proof that we're ready yet.
-
Although I like Chelsea Dagger, I too feel like it's ripping off the Blackhawks. Starting on the chorus of Light em Up would be a good idea. Could get an interesting/amusing to watch dance to go with it for sure.
-
I believe it was sarcasm.

Got this email from Dexter Albrecht and I like that he's taking the initiative.
-
Hopefully he's ready for the show.
-
It'd be nice to have some grit on defense, but it'll be tough for Hak to sit a blue chipper and keep him around.

I actually disagree, I thought he was pretty strong on the puck and put up a lot of fight along the boards. If he stays beyond the 13-14 season I'll be surprised. I thought his awareness needed some improvement to end the erroneous no-look passes but other than that and tweaking his shot by half an inch to avoid those posts I think he's pretty close to ready for the next step (AHL where he can then prove himself ready for the big league). He's only 5'6" but he's already 170 lbs, so it's not like he needs to put on a lot more weight. Not you, but others saying he isn't ready because he's not even close to Parise or some other offensive stars isn't really fair, as he'll never be a Parise or Oshie due to his size.
