It's about the same distance from GF as MSP is, but there aren't nearly as many UND alumni in Sioux Falls. I'd think it's another option though if politics did get in between UND and the X.

Exactly, for all we know UND had a $700K surplus from 2011 that was available to be spent down in 2012. Also, new uniforms and logo-free equipment for all sports isn't exactly cheap.

I think they really need to have someone with ties to UND at the head of the Alumni Association. I think it looks better to potential donors when they're being courted by a fellow alum (or if the potential donor isn't an alum, at least they can see someone that UND produced). Personally, I'd prefer to have university presidents who have prior ties to the university as well, but I don't sit on the SBoHE.

I had heard that also. Apparently Bresciani and Douple don't see eye to eye on some things anyways as Bresciani gave Douple poor marks on his performance review.

I'm pretty sure that was just an unsubstantiated rumor.

My accounting professors were all good. Econ profs were good too. Finance..... not so much.

The BSC is far more stable than the summit. BSC and Summit basketball are the same as both are 1 bid conferences (right now), anything else is meaningless. BSC basketball has Montana and Weber St, Slummit has SDSU. BSC and MVFC football are the same (not same styles, but same competitiveness). Ndsu is on a good run right now for football, but that doesn't place the entire conference above all others. I don't advocate for inviting ndsu to the BSC, I'd prefer they collapse in a no-bid summit.

Which is why I said Douple leaving would be the only way UND would even consider the Slummit/MVFC (consider, but not necessarily join). Overall the BSC is a better conference, however, travel and a wish to reunite with the other Dakota schools could lead UND to consider moving its sports. At this point I'd say the Slummit would need to add a couple other quality schools before UND should take them seriously though.

Looks like a lot of them want us to join the Scummit/MVFC. The only way I see UND even considering joining the Slummit is if Douple is gone.

After ND and MN, I would guesstimate the majority of UND alums live in #1 Arizona (mix, but primarily older alums) and #2 Colorado (younger alums).

I think we'd be poking fun at moo u, but nobody would be able to question the punishment. Losing scholarship money seems like a pretty serious deal to me, even if it's only a partial reduction.

Did they steal a road sign (destruction/theft of public property)? Did they run from the cops? Did the college try to cover it up? Did the college fail to discipline the players? No, these minors and the way they are being handled are completely different from the AC situations.
