Isn't this thread supposed to be about nicknames for UND athletics?

I believe propaganda similar to what was put out prior to last season would be a setup for failure. This season they are tempering expectations, and rightly so. This team will not be good this year, but hopefully they improve and carry some pride into future seasons.

There have been 3 players to score 80 points in a season since 2000. 2 of them won the Hobey.

Hopefully they start to improve as well. After WBB and VB, I don't really care where the rest of the women's scholarships go (they have to give out enough to be Title 9 compliant).

The fact that he is still going to class is somewhat promising.... Also, I wouldn't read into the online classes thing too much, as it may just be that he likes to have a flexible schedule.

Perhaps he saw the writing on the wall and felt that, in addition to a probable increase in salary, attaching himself to Smith was a good career move. Really unfortunate for UND, as he appeared to be the only guy capable of recruiting.

Anyone know what bars are near Scheels Arena? Any in walking distance even?

2,4,4 This season was an anomaly. Wisco and Michigan will both be down next year, whereas UND and Miami will both be up.

I'd agree with that. I wouldn't even mind the interlocking ND logo if it's placed on a green banner hanging in the Ralph after this year.....

Don't disagree with most of your post. However, we are constantly told that BC's recent success is an anomaly, given how college hockey has changed. We are told that good teams (DOT, Pony Express) can't be expected to win anymore. Well BC has won 3 of the last 6 national championships, so either they're doing something different (style or recruiting) or they do have a magic formula which allows them to magically beat the trap and magically find ways to win the games they're supposed to......
