Clearly you didn't drink underage much..... -
Great food, atmosphere, and beer selection. Can get a little loud, but I suppose that may be the mark of a good/busy bar/restaurant.

Is that an actual rule?

The legislature passed a bill that puts a constitutional amendment to the vote of the people of ND. The vote will take place during the general election in November. If the amendment is passed, the Board would cease to exist. It would be replaced by a 3 member commission who oversee the NDUS (replacing the Board and Chancellor). The 3 commissioners would be paid, full-time employees. The 3 commissioners would be appointed by the Governor, selecting from a list of potential candidates. The list would be put together by a group including the speaker of the house, president of the senate, superintendent of public instruction, and a couple others I can't remember. Depending on who's selected to the commission (if enacted), it should have no more effect on the name than the Board.

What Should Be On UND's Wish List for the New ND?

http://www.wdaz.com/...ticle/id/23636/ PRIORITIES. Not only did they spend all this money on something that doesn't address the major issues in the area, they also took construction companies off of more important and time-sensitive projects. And then they complain to the legislature saying they don't have any money for infrastructure (real infrastructure, not a water park), schools, human services, hospitals, etc. -

Local western ND leaders also need to look at their spending priorities..... -

Hopefully Kelley retires soon...... UND needs some new blood up top who is willing to restructure and cut fat in order to move forward and grow.

With the students as a priority, rather than research. The better teachers would actually be cheaper. It would have been nice to be able to understand some of the ones I had, as I'm sure they were smart people, unfortunately they were just awful at speaking English. -
Why is this thread happening again?

It is purely opinion. Yours is worth less than others on this board. I agree that the great potential that came with the greatest FCS receiving corps in the nation was squandered by an incapable team/coaching staff last season.
-
The law states "Neither the state board of higher education nor the university of North Dakota may adopt or implement an athletic nickname or corresponding logo before January 1, 2015." So I think they would be within the law to start planning/researching a new name, as long as it isn't formally adopted or implemented before January. It appears UND is simply waiting it out beyond what was required by law.

Who's more talented, Julian Edelman or Larry Fitzgerald? Obviously Julian Edelman. After all, stats don't lie. Place the entire receiving corps of the Denver Broncos (obviously the best in the league because stats don't lie) on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They're the exact same receiving corps, but for some reason I just can't imagine a scenario where they would match their 2013 numbers without Brady, Brees, Manning, or Rodgers joining them in Tampa.

Marchand was actually clutching at and staying off the leg that did NOT get hit in the collision. He said he tweaked his leg as he hit the ice. Don't know if I believe him, but little tweaks can happen without being blatantly obvious and the pain from them can subside quickly.

Well I'm glad I wasn't the only one growing suspicious....

Isn't this thread supposed to be about nicknames for UND athletics?

I believe propaganda similar to what was put out prior to last season would be a setup for failure. This season they are tempering expectations, and rightly so. This team will not be good this year, but hopefully they improve and carry some pride into future seasons.
