The schools are supposed to get legislative approval regardless of whether it's funded with public funds or donations. I believe it's been avoided in certain cases by having a foundation finance and control the project "without university involvement."

View of turf and ongoing installation of additional lighting. Glad to see there's additional lighting, I was beginning to worry the lighting in there was all they were going to do.
One of the GF Herald letters said something along the lines of waiting until the people who grew up with the Sioux name are all gone (dead) first. So with advances in medical technology, perhaps 110 years will be close enough.
I have no problem with this. The hockey-only crowd gets what they want and the rest of the University can move on. Problem solved. Close thread. Turn off computers.
Should be a nice welcome for incoming freshmen and I'm sure it'll leave their families with a great first impression. I think we can all agree that these people really do support and want what's best for the University now.
It's now been shared 300 times. The dumbest part..... How is disbanding the committee for not removing "no nickname" as an option even a threat? The committee removed it and was still disbanded (because they'd completed their task).
