I have no problem with this. The hockey-only crowd gets what they want and the rest of the University can move on. Problem solved. Close thread. Turn off computers.

Scheels in Bismarck has relegated UND items to a tiny section (1 rack) in the back. -
Just to be clear, you're referring to the yet-to-be-named B1G player?

And now there is an online petition to keep "no nickname" as our nickname. 270 people so far after 3 hours. -
They can stop pitching Boyer any time now.

Should be a nice welcome for incoming freshmen and I'm sure it'll leave their families with a great first impression. I think we can all agree that these people really do support and want what's best for the University now. -

Gotta say it, the school is still UND. That's not changing. -

It's now been shared 300 times. The dumbest part..... How is disbanding the committee for not removing "no nickname" as an option even a threat? The committee removed it and was still disbanded (because they'd completed their task). -

This has been happening for the last 3 years. -
I wouldn't get my hopes up. In the world of academia, only Native Americans have ever adorned themselves with feathers, used arrows, or been a warrior, therefore, none are allowed.

Agreed. I'd have liked to see a head to head vote between the 2. -

Based on social media alone, the vote to retain the Sioux name and go onto the NCAA naughty list should've passed with 99% support. Fortunately social media isn't a representative sample and we've been able to retain Big Sky membership, reestablish scheduling with Wisconsin and Minnesota, and host an NCAA regional (looked like all Sioux/UND fans in attendance had a great time, as did ESPN). Fans who wish to continue wearing Sioux gear are free to do so (I know I will), but the University needs to move on. -
That does sound nice, although I don't think there's much traffic back in that area to make it necessary. I'd hope the $$ could be better spent. Anyone know how much this CEC building is estimated to cost?

The Wilson M. Laird Core and Sample Library will also be expanded over the next few years thanks to $13 million from the state.

UND's offense is a big question mark, IMO. Nearly all RB touches will be going to guys not on the team last year. Most WR time will go to guys who either didn't play or didn't play well last year. I'm hoping the OL is relatively solid, they looked much better toward the end of last season. QB is surprisingly (perhaps frighteningly?) the offensive position I'm least worried about. All 3 saw time on the field last year and I believe all 3 have proven they are capable (not great, but capable) when given enough time. UND's defensive weakness likely will be (and historically has been under Bubba/Lennon) through the air.

That district attorney needs to watch the video. Based on what we could see, she was definitely the original aggressor.
