  1. One benefit of moving from the pressed metal plates to the new laminated plates is it will be much easier to produce multiple designs. Unfortunately, many at DOT, Highway Patrol, Commerce, etc. are dragging their feet or discouraging the production of alternate plates because they like the idea of ND having one consistent plate.

    2016 Season

With only one returning starter on the OL, I'm afraid the run game could take a few weeks to heat up.
  3. But what about the illuminati?
  4. I know that UND has chosen to have limited sales of trademarked items in order to maintain those trademarks. What is your conspiracy theory here? That UND worked really hard to get rid of the Sioux name but at the same time keep it because they need it for money?
  5. Why would UND fight a contract requirement that they limit black market sales of UND-owned trademarks? It is in UND's and the NCAA's interest that UND fans transition to the new name and logo. The unlimited availability of fighting Sioux items would hinder that transition. In order to maintain the trademark, limited sales of trademarked items must be made. UND is making limited sales of Sioux items to prevent the unlimited sale of Sioux items. It's not that difficult.
  6. Maintaining the trademarks is about limiting the black market for fighting Sioux gear and providing for a cleaner transition to the new name and logo. They're not making much money off these sales.
  7. But Kelley would never say that same thing unless the language was first approved by 4 different committees.....
  8. http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/education/3944226-update-hiring-freeze-faculty-buyouts-offered-und-budget-fix Ahhh, refreshing.
  9. I guess the FCS playoff committee was on to something with their "quality losses" bit.....
  10. We have to give 110%. We need to impose our will on the opponent and force them to play our game.
  11. Ties with CC (49), Maine (46), and Bemidji (36), and a loss to Wisconsin (38) really hurt UND. The SCSU losses to CC and Miami must just about even it out.
  12. Anyone else watching the Duluth-CC game? Lot of Duluth fans dressed in yellow plastic.
  13. Also, Schafer alluded to ensuring tuition is contained in future years, so some of his planned cuts may be to set UND up for the future.
  14. Higher Ed's state budget has about tripled since the start of the boom. Elementary and high school budget probably tripled too. The legacy fund has around $3-4 billion that can't be spent yet. State paid a lot of oil money to lower property taxes and the city councils just increased spending instead. Also did a lot of building and road projects when construction was most expensive.
  15. The general fund allotment for UND should be around $12.8 million, including the med school. The tuition budget is not subject to the allotment. UND is getting hit extra hard because the money for the new med school was cut by 4% too. The $6.4 million for ndsu doesn't look like it includes the reduction in their research funding from the state, which is about another $4.5 million. The $25 million looks to be a 2 year number, and was caused in large part by UND budgeting a large tuition increase.
  16. As for all 2 and most 3 star recruits, I'd say they're comparable to 7th round nhl draft picks. About the same potential as 0 star/undrafted players.
  17. The big Sky co-freshman of the year had one offer each. Just saying
  18. Switch the red and yellow in that one around and put on the beak, and we've got our local tie-in.
  19. Wow. Good for CC. Giving that kind of support with the downturn in their program speaks volumes.
  20. WMU (FBS), Denver, and Omaha are all D1 as well.
