  1. I'm hoping B1G hockey continues expanding in the east and eventually makes Detroit or Chicago its permanent tourney home. Chicago would be pretty centrally located.
  2. Just letting this play out.... if ndsu was to move up, where do they add women's scholarships?
  3. It seems like they tried to play it very safe with their beers. In the end they all just ended up flavorless. Maybe it works for the Grand Forks light beer crowd though.
  4. Not really. For some reason canning baseball really seems to have irked him and a couple others who buy ink by the barrel, even though they likely rarely attended games and never contributed financially to the program. Does Faison have a lot of areas where he needs to improve as an AD, especially with regards to communication inside and outside the university? Absolutely. Do I think he will ever improve to an acceptable level in those areas? No. But Nelson choosing the dropping of baseball and the meaningless all-sports title to rag on UND and the BSC just proves that his is an opinion I'm not going to agree with or give credence to.
  5. If having athletics success that mimics NAU or Sac St is what it takes to bring home the BSC all-sports crown, I'm fine with never winning it. If we stink at softball, soccer, M&W tennis, M&W track, and M&W x-country while excelling in M&W basketball, football, and volleyball, does anyone truly care?

  7. Ping pong was my favorite.
  8. I quit taking math courses after applied calculus. Felt bad ruining the curve for everyone else....
  9. 86.45 hours later.....
  10. While I don't believe most of SV's predictions will be coming to fruition anytime soon (5+ years), I do find the concern it causes the resident bison fans to be amusing.
  11. MVC is a non-football conference.
  12. Speaking of therapy dogs, those things can run anywhere from $10,000-25,000 each. Not even talking about seeing eye dogs or others with seriously advanced training.
  13. So does health insurance recognize music therapy? Or is it just practiced at schools (with property tax $) and for people who can afford it out of pocket?
  14. So basically it's musicians trying to hop on the health-care bubble?
  15. I don't mean this to be condescending, but what is music therapy? Where does a music therapist work? What are they paid? Where does the money to pay a music therapist come from? I'd seriously like to know more about it, because at this point it sounds like witchcraft.
  16. Those sound like some "feel good" majors there. Doesn't UND already have a bachelor of entrepreneurship?
  17. Numbers I'd raise issue with include football ticket sales (50% drop seems ridiculous), non-scholarship athlete tuition (shouldn't really be part of the equation, but you're likely going to have more non-scholarship athletes paying tuition in FCS), sports administration, travel, scholarship (don't forget to make the matching reduction in ladies' scholarships when you drop to FCS), and the debt repayment amount. NMSU had a desire to tell a story a certain way, and they appear to have fudged the numbers to make sure it worked. Seems to me they may be underestimating how difficult FBS Indy could be. Ticket sales and donations may take a large hit due to a lack of home games. Guarantees (per game) may decrease because the other school knows you need to fill your schedule and don't have a lot of options (and you won't be providing them with a 1-0 record against X conference).
  18. Ditto
  19. Lol yep. Likely cost that much in wages and paper.
  20. They'll probably save money overall.
  21. Best player posts have been moved:
  22. Also, they either did an incredibly poor job of hanging the jersey for the picture, or the neck was designed for people with gargantuan heads.
