I was wrong, actual revenue will be closer to $5 billion and nearly $1 billion of that isn't really revenue, but the beginning balance brought over from 2015. The budget stabilization fund is the one being emptied. It had around $570 million in it and that isn't going to be enough to cover the revenue shortfall. The governor will likely call in the legislature later this summer, where additional budget cuts and transfers from other reserve funds (still not the legacy fund, which has $3.8 billion) are likely. For the next budget cycle, we're looking at general fund revenue below the 2011-13 number (unless oil keeps rising).

I've found it to be good bar food. Good burgers and most apps, not the best wings. It's located where Big Daddys used to be. Major improvement over Big Daddys.

I can see a scenario where this works out to his benefit. A verbal commitment is only worth the paper it's written on. Recruiting doesn't stop after a verbal. The bar has now been set at "offer a scholarship or I'm going to fargo." It does certainly reduce/eliminate the chance of ndsu offering a scholarship without being forced to by his de-committment though.

I can understand how AGS would be confused with bville though.

So Hagerott didn't tell the campuses to avoid permanent solutions. Understood. Petty arguments aside (I'll admit we were both wrong/misleading on certain items), permanent solutions are needed. I think everyone is beginning to recognize that now (some recognized it earlier). Schafer believes in planning ahead and preparing for the funding cuts now. I don't think he's wrong for that, as mcfeely implies in his conspiratorial rant (which I can only assume must've been alcohol/drug-infused).
