  1. "Klieman’s base salary of $300,000 did not change" So he didn't get a huge raise?!
  2. Outdated info. Look at the first comment on that sfi post.
  3. The buildings all require significant investment, as they are falling apart and largely non-compliant with code and/or ADA law. On-campus enrollment is basically nonexistent.
  4. No idea, but we're never going to have ASU's economies of scale.
  5. One big risk to UND with the online expansion is the potential for the state to stop paying UND for online credits. There is little/no benefit to the state to subsidize the online education of someone in CA who never sets foot in ND. UND will eventually need to charge enough to cover all costs.

  7. Bottineau should be closed immediately. If we could actually get the constitutional amendment to a vote, I'd encourage every voter to visit Dakota College at Bottineau prior to the election. That would be more than enough to secure its passage. For what it's worth, Bottineau is currently under the administrative authority of Minot State University, so a lot of their non-academic costs have already been eliminated.
  8. Good point. But of those 3, Devils Lake is really the only one that should be considered for closure. BSC and WSC could/should both be administratively placed under another institution to cut down on non-academic costs.
  9. And that describes nearly every higher education administrator in America.
  10. I'd assume the sports minimums are intentionally meant to be a barrier. "You can't afford X number of sports, you don't get to play with us. Go play with those other poor schools."

  12. Weren't we all complaining about Muss's lack of OL recruiting and development the past 8 years?
  13. Different accounting. I believe ndsu allocates apparel sales, advertising revenue, teammakers contributions, student fees, etc. out to the various sports. UND places most all of those revenues in an unallocated pot. Thus the individual sports look worse at UND than ndsu.
  14. Watch that president's UCF interview and compare it to Kennedy's. 2 completely different scenarios, as that president made it very clear he disliked living in the midwest and wanted out.
  15. Around $13-14 million plus another $4-5 million from the med school.
  16. Minot State is the only one of the 4 making a legitimate push for graduate degrees.
  17. Responses/clarifications on a few of your suggestions.
  18. Constitution change would require a vote of the residents of the state.
