Bottineau should be closed immediately. If we could actually get the constitutional amendment to a vote, I'd encourage every voter to visit Dakota College at Bottineau prior to the election. That would be more than enough to secure its passage. For what it's worth, Bottineau is currently under the administrative authority of Minot State University, so a lot of their non-academic costs have already been eliminated.

Good point. But of those 3, Devils Lake is really the only one that should be considered for closure. BSC and WSC could/should both be administratively placed under another institution to cut down on non-academic costs.

And that describes nearly every higher education administrator in America.

I'd assume the sports minimums are intentionally meant to be a barrier. "You can't afford X number of sports, you don't get to play with us. Go play with those other poor schools."

Different accounting. I believe ndsu allocates apparel sales, advertising revenue, teammakers contributions, student fees, etc. out to the various sports. UND places most all of those revenues in an unallocated pot. Thus the individual sports look worse at UND than ndsu.

Meh, college kids are often going to drink. Only thing that bothers me is the attempted fleeing. I'm fine with it being handled internally at practice. If they sat the first half of the first game I wouldn't be upset though.

To be fair, in some of these scrimmage plays/drills the D does not have to worry about defending the run at all. That makes an O lineman's job pretty tough.

Ditch the politics. You will not be warned again. Why 2 tribes? Probably because we couldn't even get 1 at the time and the NCAA was giving us 3 extra years to gain approval. Legacy Fund money is all stashed in Dalrymple's mattress. It's a little smelly, but it's all there.

Kelley never had the guts or brains to restrict any spending. Large part of the reason UND is in the situation it's in.
