Auggie isn't small and crappy compared to just the P5 and G5. It's small and crappy compared to the rest of the summit, the schools you're suggesting allow it to join them. Its enrollment is minuscule, it receives no state appropriation, and it doesn't have a legitimate endowment to make up for it. It has no business even being discussed as a potential summit member.

Tons of credit card debt racked up in many of those hockey families. Perception and keeping up with the Joneses is everything.

Entirely possible.

No idea who or what is responsible, but Bismarck, Fargo, and Minot potholes aren't nearly as bad as those in Grand Forks, so it's gotta be more than just the weather. Whether it's due to poor initial construction, poor maintenance, or something else should be looked into by city leadership.

Potholes happen, but Washington St is abnormal.

UND does have a newly expanded "Core Library"

Washington between S 17th and Gateway is ridiculous. Just so you Grand Forks people are aware, other ND cities are not like this right now. There's more than just bad weather responsible here.
-
Auggie endowment is garbage right now. Would move up to mediocre with another $100 million. This is in comparison to other Summit schools, not the good D1 schools.

I'm not going to spend time approving every one of your posts. Either follow the forum rules or your ability to post here at all will be removed.

No politics.

Even at #3, the B1G schools still have more fans and more of a financial commitment to hockey than the NCHC schools not located in North Dakota.

How can UW compete with our Simplot smells though???

Exactly. One can't really say whether it's true or false because the necessary funding level is an opinion.- 485 replies

Thought it was funny how WIH was mentioned in the article. Can almost guarantee at least 3 of those 4 never attended a game and don't care about it.- 485 replies

Augie is a small, mediocre school with a tiny endowment. I was under the impression they're the type of school UND and the other Dakotas moved to D1 to get away from. You are who you associate with.

We should probably just let it go.
