  1. Seems to me you are not thinking enough buddy. Didn't NDSU and SDSU also apprently mention to USD and UND that they wouldn't mind some company in moving up? NDSU's king sport, football, was being held back by the lack of scholarships. If they cut scholarships from hockey to make it more competitive for the smaller schools, and there was a higher league for UND to join to play with the type of budget that UND was appropriate, do you think that they wouldn't have at least considered it?
  2. MVFC looking pretty interesting this year. At one point, every game that was being played was tied according to the screen in the dome. EWU could be number one after today. Beating #2 should jump them over JMU in my opinion. Lots of high ranked teams bit the dust today. Holy smokes. Checked out the UND game box score, awfully close score for how lopsided the yardage was. Anyone care to explain it in a nutshell for me? I'm not trolling, genuinely curious right now.
  3. haha I know, I know, I gotta stay out of trouble for a few more months.
  4. I find it hard to believe that over 10,000 people within the 100 radius made up the extent of the group that made it down to Frisco for the title game. Your hate blinds you brosef. College hockey isn't exactly popular either. Local media is always going to cover good/bad things about the big team. Whether that is the Voter Fraud or a Natty Title, it will get coverage because that is what people care about. Similar to Grand Forks and hockey. People in North Dakota care a helluva lot more about NDSU football than the Cowboys. People in North Dakota care more about UND on average than the Cowboys as well. I doubt a fan of either team (other than someone like Lakes) would claim that the Bison or UND are bigger than the Cowboys. The Canadiens aren't a big deal here. Why would you expect anyone around here to care about them? Around North Dakota, the Bison(especially football) and UND(especially hockey) are significantly more important than the Yankees, Canadiens, or the Cowboys. I know you like to think the Bison are insignificant, but that simply isn't true. You like to think(from what I gather) that Bison fans are a vocal minority, but truth be told, NDSU is quite popular. It would probably pain you to hear the number of UND students who ask me to get them NDSU student tickets for football, just like it would pain me to tell ya how many NDSU students who want UND hockey tickets. Get over the hate brah. Look at things semi-objectively.
  5. I've read comments posted by a lot of fans on various articles. The only difference in fans is which part of the country they come from. They use different vocabulary then. Coming off a National Championship and having a team look as good as this one does, you are going to see some hardcore homers. And if you hate them so much and can't stand them and think they are the worst fans in the entire world, why do you continue to read their stuff? It clearly gets you very worked up. You are just like Lakes when anyone mentions UND athletics. You sound just like the people who go all over every espn.com article about Notre Dame and talk smack about them and how they are irrelevant and awful.
  6. I'd imagine that any college or professional team that is extremely successful has roughly the same percentage of fans who are full of themselves. Boorish behavior? I don't know if there any internet .gifs of an NDSU fan getting as close as possible to an opposing player and flipping him off. I also haven't read any articles of NDSU fans punching holes in walls at athletic venues. Sorry brah. Before anyone gets butthurt, I'm going exclusively after DaveK.
  7. South Carolina also has a mad genius as an offensive coach. Spurrier could design an offense that would work using only 8 guys.
  8. I assume you are joking judging by the winkface.
  9. Sounds like someone is mad because NDSU fans have had things to brag about when the team you cheer for hasn't had much to brag about. If you want to talk about an arrogant fanbase, one of your very own geaux_sioux will tell you all about some of teh hockies supporters in Grand Forks.
  10. 9>1 NDSU could be hitting another big run. Having a rocking dome certainly has got to help recruiting as well as having a competent(so it seems eh?) coaching staff. Hey didn't you say you wanted no part of UND without the nickname bro? The way NDSU has conducted themselves since going FCS? Do you mean being extremely successful or?
  11. Lot of butthurt in these first two posts. I believe this year was their first win against Montana in ages. Even if it is a down Montana team, NAU seems to be pretty solid so far. Another nice test for UND to see how they stack up at the moment.
  12. Resume will have Montana and Montana State games. Quality OOC as far as I'm concerned.
  13. Haven't I read on here about a billion times that Faison sent Gene another contract? Sometime this year? After UND's OOC Big Sky games were scheduled? Wouldn't that mean the ball is in NDSU's court as to when/if a game during the regular season happens? I believe our OOC's are pretty well set up for the next couple seasons. Need a couple of games for 2015-2016, one of which will probably be FBS(not hard to find). At this point in time I'm not sure what NDSU's resume would gain.
  14. They played in softball recently I believe. NDSU and SDSU have a nice little rivalry. Pretty good natured. Both moved up together, so in a sense it is a rivalry based on respect. I enjoy it. I think the UNI rivalry is getting bigger and bigger. Variety of reasons. Both sides point fingers. Ball is in NDSU's court. NDSU is in a position of strength obviously at the moment. I'm sure building a rivalry with UND in some way would be beneficial(ticket sales, interest, etc.) for both schools.
  15. he couldn't just say 'We know who are guy is" and decline to answer whom it is?
  16. They don't count. If they did, NDSU would have hosted a national semi-final the following weekend. UNI pulled its annual playoff "crap the bed" game, this time against a team on the road who made them pay. A question was asked, I answered. I also mentioned the type of play people find a lot of in the Big Sky in addition to the most recent experiences on the field.
  17. As much as I want to agree tj, Lennon held the Bison to a grand total of 9 points last season. Granted, our offense wasn't anything special last season, but he has a solid track record for putting a good defense on the field. Putting a good defense on the field always gives you a chance(see any Steelers team for a longgggg time).
  18. One thing if NDSU was any good this year, a whole nother if you beat a fellow team who sucks. You could be right though.
  19. Steelers have never had too many major issues doing that unless injuries struck hard. We rock.
  20. The most successful defense over the past decade or so has been the Dick LeBeau Steeler(my favorite team) defense. But sending more than 4-5 will leave the team exposed.
