Non-revenue sports are relatively unimportant to me. If our men's basketball and football teams were consistently top 2 in the conference, I'd be 100% ok with our other sports being mediocre or bad. In a perfect world, Dorn would be fired. I was mostly referring to football.

I too think SDSU is overrated...I think Sam Houston is better than anything the Big Sky can offer....they did just beat EWU while throwing the ball only 8 times. NDSU beat Montana back in '03....that Montana team ended up being pretty solid. UNd beat UNI, that UNI team was alright too. You think because NDSU beat Ferris convincingly that Ferris can't be good? Not outlandish for a D-II team to beat a solid FCS team. I don't know if they would...but I wouldn't be shocked if Ferris knocked someone in the FCS off.. I don't think YSU is all that good.

Is UND willing to demand excellence at the Division 1 level. Big difference between Division 1 and Division 2.

I didn't bold the Pay $$ part because I don't know what Youngstown State pays for their coach, I imagine he is compensated pretty well considering the pedigree that program has around it. But, YSU has a beautiful(at least it looks that way from what i've seen) indoor practice facility and unfortunately...for them at least, they are nowhere near their days of winning FCS titles. It certainly can't hurt to invest more in the program. Honestly, UND is getting exactly what they are paying for in Mussman. He makes around 120K?

No better in Jamestown....the beatings helped us get up for those games against Mandan, Williston, and Dickinson. No trap games for us!

I know college athletes really have no excuse to not care, but once the beatings commence it is hard to care....we regularly got thumped like this in high school. After the first couple, we just waited for the 2nd half when we didn't have to play against starters...

The State of North Dakota didn't seem to think it was the end of the world like some here seem to think it was.

To be honest, I think UND will win this weekend. UND at this point IMO, can stay competitive with the middle and lower tier of the Big Sky, but no hope of beating the upper echelon teams.

Ok, mind telling us all why UND went D-I? For the chance to dance every now and again? Or for the chance to make it to the national tourney in volleyball? Or was it because they didn't want to be the only Dakota school not playing D-I football? Methinks it was the third one...no reason to go D-I if hockey is UND's only priority. You claim D-I hockey is this great thing...in all honesty it is something to be proud of....but you trash on FCS. You know deep down, that if hockey was even remotely popular south of the Mason-Dixon line...or in most states north of it for that matter...that UND hockey would be in a similar situation as the football team...that must hurt someone like you...knowing that if America ever randomly decided to truly embrace the sport of the Great White North....that UND would end up being a member of the Ivy League of hockey. A powerhouse at one time...and now...just a team who cant compete with the B1G, PAC-12, Big XII, SEC, etc.

You really expect UND(a relatively small) Major University.....to donate $200,000 to starving children....of athletics money....lots of which is privately raised... This may be the single stupidest post of all time. Well-intentioned...but stupid. If people want their money to go to the litttle kids in Africa, they have plenty of options to which they can donate. Now if you want UND boosters in general to all donate dollar for dollar what they spend on a UND sports package...I could dig your cause...but asking UND to spend money(which they may not really have to give away, especially such a large sum) on something that gives them no benefit....oofda. Im about 2 pages behind on this but I can resist....Holy goodness.....he did this to himself.

Finance....I let my sisters and my mom buy my clothes. I'd hope the UND hockey sweater is the most common, NDSU jerseys dont say North Dakota on them...away ones say NDSU and home ones....IDK if they say anything.
