The State of North Dakota didn't seem to think it was the end of the world like some here seem to think it was.

To be honest, I think UND will win this weekend. UND at this point IMO, can stay competitive with the middle and lower tier of the Big Sky, but no hope of beating the upper echelon teams.

What the heck happened out there today? Guy was checking scores on his smartphone at the SDSU game and just goes, 'No way is this right.."

For those who may be interested, SDSU didn't score.

Lol weak. 6 years.... If you haven't ever ran from the police, that means you probably were not a very fun individual during your time in school.

The UND athletic department doesn't have that kind of cash.

Ok, mind telling us all why UND went D-I? For the chance to dance every now and again? Or for the chance to make it to the national tourney in volleyball? Or was it because they didn't want to be the only Dakota school not playing D-I football? Methinks it was the third one...no reason to go D-I if hockey is UND's only priority. You claim D-I hockey is this great thing...in all honesty it is something to be proud of....but you trash on FCS. You know deep down, that if hockey was even remotely popular south of the Mason-Dixon line...or in most states north of it for that matter...that UND hockey would be in a similar situation as the football team...that must hurt someone like you...knowing that if America ever randomly decided to truly embrace the sport of the Great White North....that UND would end up being a member of the Ivy League of hockey. A powerhouse at one time...and now...just a team who cant compete with the B1G, PAC-12, Big XII, SEC, etc.

You really expect UND(a relatively small) Major University.....to donate $200,000 to starving children....of athletics money....lots of which is privately raised... This may be the single stupidest post of all time. Well-intentioned...but stupid. If people want their money to go to the litttle kids in Africa, they have plenty of options to which they can donate. Now if you want UND boosters in general to all donate dollar for dollar what they spend on a UND sports package...I could dig your cause...but asking UND to spend money(which they may not really have to give away, especially such a large sum) on something that gives them no benefit....oofda. Im about 2 pages behind on this but I can resist....Holy goodness.....he did this to himself.

Thats a fact Jack! Sidenote: It seems rather odd that while we are mostly all from the same area, we allow something like choice in post-high school education to have such a profound effect on our perceptions of each other. Meh, keeps things interesting.

Finance....I let my sisters and my mom buy my clothes. I'd hope the UND hockey sweater is the most common, NDSU jerseys dont say North Dakota on them...away ones say NDSU and home ones....IDK if they say anything.

Mind telling everyone here what your record was against the Summit League last season? The almighty Big Sky isn't exactly the cream of the crop as far as basketball goes.

They certainly don't. What I fail to see though is what do you mean?

I'll be there. I doubt they'll be anything special, but who knows. Point guard will be a senior, shooting guard will be a Jr, small forward will be a soph(assuming he gets that job), post will be a Jr., dont know about the other big man.

I'm talking about fan support.. Face it only hockey matters at UND. And for some football matters at NDSU, but it's funny how it's UND fans that constantly rip on NDSU fans about the BSA when they know basketball is #2 at NDSU. I rarely see a student section so empty when I see DI football on tv, so maybe pump some money into that program and you can fill that "We have one too" Center. I also almost crapped myself when I went to the UND-Montana game two weeks at the Alerus. I was like "Am I at North Dakota high school football championship game?" Two way street darell.

No excuses. Our volleyball team is awful. Heck, if they get over 20 points in any given set I'd be surprised.

Ok. If a football team at a major university doesn't outdraw the basketball team....something is terribly wrong with the football team. I imagine Duke football outdraws Duke basketball. Kansas football outdraws Kansas basketball. The time of the large garage is almost over. Feel free to smack about how long it has taken to get the money put together...it has taken longer than I think anyone expected, but it'll be leaps and bounds better than the current situation. And the volleyball fieldhouse is perfect for a volleyball team. Better than having it in the BSA with thousands of empty seats....and honestly, smacking on where a volleyball team plays? For real?

Thats weird....our basketball attendance(while not great by any means) is fine...especially when you look at the building they play in. I don't think UND fans are in any position to smack NDSU on fan support...

UND will win recruiting battles just like NDSU will win recruiting battles. Most SU fans seem to think Dorn is running our women's sports into the ground(outside of track and softball). Current volleyball team/coach seem to be awful.

It looked like it was probably an alum...there was a guy on the balcony in a white pullover it looked like. NDSU folks were all in yellow or green for the most part. Regardless of who it was, it added a little bit of good natured fun to the morning.

They honored the FCS because of what NDSU has been doing, and what EWU did....those were huge wins...and on top of it, there were a lot of FCS wins. IF K-State beats NDSU, I believe it would have been in Utah for the HOly War this week. He probably saw CAS' rings on the bisonvielle thread.....little does he know (assuming thats what he is referring to) CAS was apart of the 80's dynasty.

What if I showed up at a UND hockey event rocking a Jensen jersey? Makes no sense to wear a hockey shirt to a football event.
