Many folks on here questioned Bubba as a choice, at least considering how long the process took. I don't know what to think of him. NDSU was so head and shoulders above everyone this year that I don't know if I should even hold that second half of the SIU game against him where NDSU literally could do as they chose. He will probably get some kids NDSU wants. Some kids want different things(playing time, majors, etc). Is NDSU going to be as good as we have been the past few years? Probably not. If we were...we'd win the title every year. Unlikely. Bohl shouldn't give anything to Timmy....those Minnesota kids that Timmy missed out on also were missed out on by all the B1G schools. If Bohl wants to write a check to anyone it should be to Gene for giving him the keys to a program ready to help him make a name for himself.

Clearly reading comprehension is not a strong suit of yours. I said program. Not school. Program can be looked at in this case as the individual football programs or as an entire athletic program....however with the 9% comment, that pretty much narrows it to football...considering one school has 11 titles... And one has 1. That is why these kids play...to win titles. Anyone with a different goal is probably not going to succeed. I said nothing about the academics of the university you attended. Anyone willing to actually look at the two schools objectively would see two fine places to get an education.

I think jerseys and helmets are quite expensive. Say helmets are 250 a pop and you need around 100 of them.....that's 25 grand...and that money isn't going to make you any more money. Dead end investment. I thought it would be cool for ndsu to do too til I thought about the other stuff the athletics department can do with it.

If in reference to my opinion....Probably mostly pertains to current students. Can't vouch for previous generations of NDSU/UND students but the ones I know on both sides of the fence....want to win, but don't actually care other than being able to text a couple friends that "our team won and yours lost." Men's ball is taken more seriously....no doubt about that. Saul is a boss. I love him. Seems like a great guy. Is he a great coach? No idea. I'm not a basketball mind by any stretch of the imagination. I love watching but I am clueless as to what is actually going on. I hope SDSU wins. They are....and for the foreseeable future...will be our brothers. Won't be surprised either way unless SDSU blows UND off the court. I would guess UND wins considering the numbers suggest they play a lot better in the betty vs. outside of said venue.

The UND folks I know will rib me for it if NDSU doesn't win the Summit I know that for a fact. Women's ball bro. Women's. Ball. Easy to enjoy it if your on the winning side....irrelevant if your team loses. I like to see our sports teams do well...but if there aren't guys competing....the importance goes down about 10 fold. I get up for NDSU playing UND in men's basketball. The rest of the sports...meh. Hope they win....but I'd be lying if I told you I follow them outside of that game.

I am on Oxbow's team. A trend is a trend and it is pathetic to see White Apologists who think we aren't allowed to recognize and bring up things we are seeing. Thats the teams job. Not mine as a fan.
