I find it hard to believe that a team that is second in the nation in attendance is a money pit. No golden goose by any stretch and maybe not even a profit, but certainly no money pit. Keep trolling.

BUY- This game should be great and a lot of alumni should show up for this one. I am thinking this because myself and about 8 buddies are all meeting up that weekend in GF for a reunion of sorts; most coming in from different parts of the country. The football game is our main event, everything else that weekend is secondary.

Sell- Southern Utah may be tough because Boston U is in town for hockey that weekend. However they did schedule this one early in the day to help accommodate people who want to go to both. Some of my funnest memories in GF were days when football was in the afternoon, followed by a hockey game at night.

I have been hearing good things about Sparks and agree that he could be more involved next year. For some reason I haven't seen much film of him. Did he play much in the spring game?

After watching Tyrhe Ivery step it up in the USD game i feel like he will have a break out year. Jackson, Townsend, and Mcgill could all have years like this as well. I guess I am very excited about the WR corp as a whole! QB- Like many I hope Hansen has a great year. if something happens to him I really think Bradley will look like a totally different player than last year. RB- Three studs, plain and simple. If one does not perform someone else will step up. O/D Lines- I feel pretty good about both lines. It looks like we have added the necessary depth. Secondary- I feel a lot better with the recent signings at Safety. I think Brown has a great year.

Buy; Since the we have 5 seasons to do it this is not out of the question. They are the kings of the conference right now, but they are human too, they can be beaten. This is a very tough buy though because these teams are solid at home. If this question was the opposite, meaning we beat both of them at our house in the next 5 years then that would be a very safe buy.

From what I have read the new website will be unveiled on 7/16 as well. Makes sense from a marketing / branding standpoint.

Buy- He seems to have recruiting pointed in the right direction. I also think players respond to him because he seems like a straight shooter that will not fill a recruit full of BS. Most of this is coming from a good friend who played for UND when Muss was the offensive coordinator as I have asked him these same questions)

I am starting to come around to Oilers. Other than that I am having a hard time thinking of anything that is relevant to the state, that is not ridiculous of course.

I think it was a great move as well. Many people tend to forget that he had to pull the team through the transition; playing with D2 holdovers for the most part. Not an easy thing to do and in the end he did a great job with what he had. If you want a good laugh go read some of the comments on his article on gfherald.com . I love your commitment to UND Football but you just confuse me because some posts you are all about it, such as the post above, then others you are off on another planet. I have to say that I was there and was cheering pretty loud as well; among others. (Beer helped because we were getting torched in the air in the 3rd quarter). For still being in the transition I thought it was a pretty good crowd and I think it will be even better this year, especially if we are having a good season because that is the last regular season game. Heck, out of the 3,000 people at the game I bet UND had at least 500 fans there!

Portland State is going to be tough; not a gimme. We will need to show up and execute if we are to win.

I was wondering the same thing because it looks like midco sports has just as much, if not more, live streaming capability. Also, a couple weeks ago Jason Hajdu mentioned on one of these threads that they were working to improve the quality of the webcasts. This was before the midco announcement. The way they have been dropping hints leads me to believe that midco sports will be involved in the webcasts in some way...

Based off of what? If you are going to make a declarative statement, maybe throw a fact or two in. Just looking at UND's financials (300 million endowment) and a couple alumni with deep pockets I would say UND is capable. It is more a matter of executing.

I hope you are right. I was at the playoff game against UC Davis back in 01 and I was absolutely amazed at how loud that place can get. As someone posted in another thread, get ready for third and LOUD!
