I have wondered the same thing. I think it boils down to a general branding campaign, rather than trying to sell tickets. If our basketball programs were terrible then it might make sense but even then I still don't think that the ROI is there if that were the case. This last year I got back into media sales (primarily digital) but if I were to pitch this to NDSU I would go the branding route versus trying to justify a ROI connected to increased ticket sales.

This all seems like a lot of hearsay.

I didn't bother reading though this thread but NO, it is NOT time to fire Hak. SCSU is a good team this year and we are young. What do you really expect? The football coaching situation needs to be addressed right now and the hockey season is early. Settle in because it is a long hockey season and these young guys will build chemistry.

Probably just wait until after the UNC game. Technically we end our season a week before it is over so we would have a week head start to begin the hiring process. We need all the extra time we can get lol. (I only laugh because this is so bad that its hard to get mad anymore)

In the past I would have agreed 100% but after seeing the product on the field there are no excuses anymore and major moves need to happen. Remember, this is not "at will" employment. He will be paid for the remainder of his contract and will have plenty of time to figure out his next move in life. Heck I wouldn't be against keeping him on at the OC as long as we made a solid HC hire. This is where Muss has done really well...he is just not FCS HC material IMHO.

I am pleasantly surprised with the defense. Hope the offense can pick up some steam in the 2nd half!

Well said. I have been patient for a few years but this season is inexcusable. Time for a change as there is no hope with this staff.

Yeah I noticed that it was buffering more than any other game this season on watch big sky. The Miami feed from the hockey game was solid. I am startign to think Midco is the problem.

I hurried back from duck hunting to watch this game because I thought UND had a chance to win...should have stayed at the blind. Muss needs to go. there is no hope with this coaching staff in general. Replacing coaches at this level usually come with a drop off in team production but I honestly don't know how we could do any worse. Time to open up the checkbook Faison.

I cant recall a game called this tight...this is getting ridiculous. Otherwise team responded well after being down early. Hope they can hold out!

I agree 100%. Hensen gets pushed around...I kept an eye out for that against ISU and it was noticeable.

I have to agree with you as this sport is really exciting. I always enjoyed playing a little sand volleyball over being a spectator but when the game is played at a high level it is very fun to watch. This team deserves more coverage for sure.

Welcome to the board! I am probably one of the younger posters on here (07 alum) and UND and North Dakota in general is a great place. It took me leaving for a few years to realize that. Heck, my favorite vacation of the year is my annual October hunting and UND hockey trip, Oct. 30 can't come soon enough!

We didn't deserve to win. That was ugly and undisciplined football. 3-8 here we come.

At this point I am looking forward to the game because we actually have a chance to win. Sad but is what it is.

I gave up on making predictions. I am going to watch the game on saturday in the hopes that the team shows some life.
