I am on the Pflu bandwagon at this time due to his experience and I feel he was a victim of the media monster that exists today. Not saying he is squeaky clean but I feel that we would not be able to acquire a coach of his caliber if that didn't happen. That said I trust Faison will pull out the checkbook and make the right hire regardless of who it is. Exciting times are ahead.

Makes sense. About two years ago I flew United from Denver to GF and I was one of three on a jet that seated 50. Now I fly Frontier into Minot or Fargo.

To answer your question I root against FU mainly because of the onslaught of trolling from FU fans. They have even resorted to trolling the Volleyball thread. I would be willing to bet that the majority on here do not go to their site on a regular basis.

Looking at the big picture this makes total sense. Probably will not happen until they have the full infastructure in place in Fargo which sounds like it could be a few years.

I guess I am a bit confused because it sounded like a lot of players weren't happy with the coaching situation and lately it sounds like they are not happy with the firing. Which one is it?! Does anyone else think this is odd?

I agree in the sources accuracy, but I have heard so many rumors lately that haven't come to fruition so I am hoping the pattern continues.

Rumor on the street was also that FCS programs don't have enough money to fire a coach and search nationally for a new one. Rumor on the street was also that FU was a way better basketball team. Another rumor on the street is that there are four teams begging to get into the Slummit league. A lot of rumors going around that haven't exactly turned into any concrete facts so I think we ought to just let this play out.

Darn, that's what I figured. Thanks for the clarification. A lot of ISP's don't carry espn3 so it kind of makes me wonder how much they really want to pump up FCS...doing it this way seems to hamper exposure.

I notice the first couple rounds are all on espn3 which I cannot get through my ISP. Does anyone know if Bigsky TV will still be airing all games in Big Sky venues like the regular season?

The betty certainly looked good on tv last night. Bigger end-court seating would be great and I video boards and sound system would make more sense right now until we start seeing crowds like this against teams other than ndsu.

I am hearing the excuses by FU fans about the new rule but the fact is they took advantage of this new rule by having Braun drive the ball into double and triple coverage almost everytime to draw a foul and trip to the free throw line.

Western Nodak is a great place too (short of oil country I imagine). I hunt pheasants out west south of Dickinson every year and have mountain biked the Mah Dah Hey trail in the badlands as well. Nodak has so many great aspects it is hard to cover it all! Anyway, I am stoked we are searching nationally for a new head coach and I trust Faison will make a smart hire.

I am a little late in this thread but as a guy who was born, raised, and educated in North Dakota who now lives in Colorado I need to clarify a couple things for Big Sky Bears: Greeley, Pueblo, and really the eastern plains just suck all around. The eastern plains are nothing but barren pasture land. At least in eastern North Dakota the land is rich and provides. Boulder is only cool if you are a tourist or a progressive liberal. I do go out on the eastern plains to hunt ducks and pheasant but I have to work three times as hard to get half the take compared to hunting in Nodak. I live in Vail Valley now and I have to say parts of the state like this blow away not just Nodak but any other state in the lower 48, so to say every part of CO is better is somehow obvious and shortsighted. In the end the people in Nodak make the difference. They are genuinely friendly and caring. They will help you out in a pinch. Nodak is also very beautiful in its own way and I look forward to visiting every chance I get. Big Sky Bears: In conclusion, Greeley sucks and it is the butt of all jokes in the rest of CO. Welcome to reality!
