  1. Haha true, but you know what I meant.
  2. Unnecessary. This is why these threads get derailed. A better way to say this: That line could make anyone look like a D1 player. (which is likely true) You say it like this and the conversation goes on.
  3. Is google that hard? Since you seem dense here are two names: Lucy Ganje and Leigh Jeanotte The latter is on record being a proponent of sundogs as early as 2007. Both have been outspoken faculty regarding the nickname.
  4. You can hop on google and do some research. This person was (maybe still is) UND Faculty who was very vocal against the Fighting Sioux nickname and thought sundogs would be a splendid replacement.
  5. I asked someone I personally know who is in the news business in North Dakota what they thought of the sundogs nickname after I wrote my letter to the editor. Here is the response: "I think it's way too polarizing to be picked. I'd be surprised if it made the final cut of 2-4 names I expect to go to some sort of public vote. I think Roughriders is a front-runner, followed by North Stars (I'm not a fan; it's Minnesotan) and a late charge from Green Hawks. Personally, I think it comes down to Roughriders and whether or not the committee allows "just North Dakota" to go to a public vote. If "just North Dakota" goes to the public vote, that option is probably the favorite but it'll be close." Personally I am for anything but sundogs. Choosing sundogs would essentially be pandering to the bu!!!@#$ PC movement. I remember who was a proponent of sundogs back in 2007 and I will not forget.
  6. Just stop.
  7. That's how I read it. You know what, they can think that all they want.
  8. Yes, I fly directly into Devils Lake often at $250 - $300 round trip. It does stop for about 30 minutes in Jamestown but is a pretty good deal. Please use it so we don't lose this one as well!
  9. Yes, Fullerton is talking about the G5...not the P5. Lets be honest here, the G5 has zero chance of winning the national championship. It seems that gap between the G5 and the P5 is growing larger. The top half of FCS and the G5 do look similar and if the funding was increased a bit it would be tough to tell the difference. A shift of some sort will happen and I feel quite comfortable with a forward thinking commish. such as Fullerton.
  10. It is! I also like the different shades of green in the turf.
  11. The corners of the end zone will be cut off to make room for the track. I was wondering the same things regarding injuries. I'd imagine that they will lay some sort of temporary turf or padding down during practice. Anyone know for sure?
  12. Wow...this thing is looking sweet! http://www.undsports.com/PhotoAlbum.dbml?PALBID=1542158&DB_OEM_ID=13500
  13. Report it, many appreciate what you and Hambone do.
  14. UC Davis at PSU Idaho State at Weber Maybe a little. Honestly if our defense is as good or better, offense somewhat improved, and no dumb penalties then it's not out of the question. I'm really interested to see if they can quickly pick up the level of play of the last two games of the season. We should beat Davis and PSU. ISU will have a potent offense. I don't know much at all about Weber.
  15. Do you really think a flag had anything to do with that? You have to be joking.
  16. Another interesting aspect of Chicago is that you will likely see little to no coverage on mainstream media about this. Why? Chicago already has some of the tightest gun laws and it doesn't fit the official narrative of more gun control. Actual FBI statistics speak volumes.
  17. It certainly can, but fortunately we have had a few good ones recently - Tillman, Hijnosa, B hanson
  18. It is truly sad that you are trolling another schools message board on Independence Day.
  19. Really nice to hear those guys are on campus now!
  20. Pretty cool news to come back to after a few days with no tech service in the backcountry. Congrats Jeff and UND Baseball!
  21. Really nice to see that they designed this to allow natural light to flow in. IMHO this is where the AL missed the mark.
  22. There is definitely some truth in that. The top 15 seems to be solid while the remaining 10 are there for presentation.
  23. The question was if we had ever beaten a ranked team on the road. That question was answered. You can't have it both ways.
  24. Hey Fetch, how about we hire a consultant to conduct a study as to why there are not Bud products? Would only cost a few hundred grand
  25. I am fairly certain the AL turf will be fine for the IPF as less will be used (not full end zones). It also should be possible to paint over the Alerus logos as well.
