  1. Considering that Bubba is basically starting over from scratch (think Incarnate Word territory), this shouldn't surprise anyone. Patience everyone. Good things come to those who wait.
  2. And Weber St. looks better this year. Yeah, it ain't looking good, is it?
  3. These are Mussman's recruits, thus the lack of discipline. It takes longer than spring practice, fall practice and three games to fix something like that. I think Bubba's recruits will be kids that are disciplined players to begin with. That is when you see a big difference.
  4. Idaho State and Northern Colorado are probably winnable games for us. And maybe next week. Besides that.....probably not.
  5. That doesn't give the FU trolls the right to come on here and try to start trouble. This is what people are getting sick and tired of on this forum. But you are right, it is pretty bad. I think it's beyond pathetic at this point; even the 1986 team Roger Thomas started out with had more offensive weapons than this team.
  6. Get lost son, I am not in the mood for you tonight.
  7. But this isn't a case of a parent spanking their child and leaving their butt a little sore. Any appropriate corporal punishment of a child will not leave marks like that one week afterwards. There is a tendency of some people to label anything and everything a parent does to discipline their child as "good old fashioned discipline". And they are the ones on Facebook defending this crap as "the way things used to be and the way things ought to be again". I will also point out that child abuse gets worse over time without some sort of intervention. What's it going to be next time? A caning to the bare back? A belt whipping to the bare legs? Are those examples of "good old fashioned discipline" too? I say no, they are crimes and need to be treated as such. I think AP could lose parental rights over this and I think that would be an appropriate punishment. End rant. Go Vikings (the ones that don't abuse their kids).
  8. Remember all those media reports over the summer speculating that the Vikings would release AP in a couple of years because of his salary cap number? Maybe those journalists knew something that the rest of us didn't know. This has been brewing for months, it is just now taking off in the media.
  9. Well, the Vikings won big last week and AP had 75 yards rushing, which is low for him. If the defense keeps playing well and gets better, the Vikings should be okay. As for AP and the charges, I am disappointed in him. Whatever happens, the Vikings under Mike Zimmer will go on. I am still optimistic with the roster Spielman is putting together and that they finally have a coaching staff that has a clue. No matter how this turns out, there will be life after AP.
  10. Every time I drive over the Columbia Road overpass, I see more and more steel go up!
  11. Honestly, I am surprised Faison doesn't agree to have all future matches in Fargo. You cave in once, it's hard to stop.
  12. I wonder how much it will freeze up during game action?
  13. He does make a good point.
  14. Just keep running your yap. What goes around comes around.
  15. Mods, please merge this thread with the one in NCAA News.
  16. I'll be there tonight.
  17. So you like being the fly in the ointment? That makes some sense. Of course, since you jinxed us at the 1998 West Regional Hockey Tournament, you have some penance to pay!
  18. Not going to a big event that gives national attention to our hated, in-state rival is now considered pouting? I remember a time when that was considered normal behavior by a college sports fan. But today I guess we are just expected to kiss the posteriors of our rivals. Well, call me a rebel, but I ain't doing that.
  19. Not as much as your pride will be hurting when the tables are turned and you guys are getting the business end of karma.
  20. Yeah, it's a big deal for Fargo and NDSU.....and nobody else. Which is why I am not jumping up and down with glee about it and neither are most of the rest of us. Like it or not, this makes Bubba's job that much harder when he is in someone's living room trying to sell the program to a kid that probably watches ESPN 5 hours/day. And I don't think they deserve any kudos or congratulations from me, not with the pure contempt they have for us not just as a FB program, but as an institution as a whole. Not to single anyone out (especially you Oxbow6, since you are as desperate for a winner at the Alerus Center as I am), but there is way too much genuflecting from certain members of our fan base to the almighty FU. The next time you are tempted to give them credit and kudos and congratulations for anything, just remember that they wouldn't give us the time of day, let alone kudos, if the situation was reversed. So I am not giving them any kudos of any kind. They are our hated, in-state rival and they should be treated accordingly. And if we ever hope to turn the tables on them, we need to think and act and behave like a program that wants to be the best and that doesn't spend its time tipping its cap to everybody else. I saw this with Grand Valley State. I especially don't want to see it with regards to FU. End rant. Flame away.
  21. The tired old Rocky Hager excuse. Is this all you have?
  22. You are a Grade A Certified Tool Box. And I will remember your snide comments when UND FB is King of the Big Sky Conference and is busy beating NDSU in the playoffs. And I will throw it right back in your faces. And I won't be nice about it. Get lost troll, you have a field to harvest.
  23. But according to gfhockey, it's all about selling advertising even if the play-by-play guy sucks at play-by-play. So don't get your hopes up.
  24. Really? Then by all means explain it to me.
  25. Yes it is, but I love asking the question "What If?".
