I am sure darell1976 watches games on television even if he can't make it up to Grand Forks to watch in-person. I go to a couple of games each season (men's and women's), but having season hockey and football tickets eats up a lot of my weekends during the fall and winter months, so I think season basketball tickets are out of the question for me. Bottom line: More winning = more buzz = better attendance.

Their free-lancing style of play; throwing the ball around recklessly, getting cute around the basket...things you would see on the blacktop in a school yard. Things that generally don't work well in organized basketball.

I just don't believe that you can replace human eyes with electronic eyes and get the same results. Using both humans and computers would be the best path to take.

Darrell1976 is simply telling the truth. Unfortunately, a lot of people on this forum are enjoying their green kool-aid too much to realize it. If Jones does indeed turn it around next year, I will give him all the props he deserves. But I have serious doubts it will happen. He has been in Grand Forks for 9 years and some people talk like nothing that happens with the program is on him. Well, when you are the CEO, the buck stops with you. If he finishes out his current contract and nothing has changed, it will be time for a change. If the team tanks it big time next year, it might be time to look for buyout money because the longer this program is mediocre, the harder it will be to turn it around.

Yeah, it's too bad there's that permanent frontal boundary between Grand Forks and Fargo that keeps it cold in the northern valley and sooooo much warmer in the southern valley.

Some people are still mad at him for the whole drunken "shoe off outside in the cold" incident. I think it's time to let that one go.

It is possible he has changed his thinking; I just cannot forget him getting rid of the architect of the 1990's dynasty (Jimmy Johnson) because he couldn't get along with him on a personal level. They could easily have won 4 or 5 consecutive Super Bowls if Johnson had stuck around.

I just remember some of the draft picks he has insisted on in the past (Quincy Carter at QB?) and his penchant for falling in love with certain players despite what his personnel men tell him.

Because Jerry Jones would love to have him as a feature attraction and Jones has an ego as big as the state of Texas. When he wants something, he will pay what it takes to get it. I am thinking he is involved in this whole thing somehow.
