Most Influential SiouxSports Poster

If we started a siouxsports.com Hall of Fame, the Triouxper should be the first poster in. I really wish I had gotten to know him better than I did. RIP my friend. -
They might have to shut it down and rebuild it from scratch!

I just checked, he is NOT banned. You are probably thinking of watchmaker or whatever else he called himself on here. -

For my money, Jheria is a lot worse. -
Does the Hockey Team Have a Disruptive Alcohol Culture?
fightingsioux4life replied to Cratter's topic in Men's Hockey
So what is your solution? I joked about lowering the age to 14 or 15, but I think some people on here would be all for that. I could support lowering it to 18 (that is considered the age of adulthood for a lot of things), but that is as far as I would go. I don't like the police using 95% of their on-duty hours tracking down and busting underage drinkers, but we also shouldn't treat it as just another "rite of passage" or "kids just sowing their wild oats" or whatever other excuses people make for looking the other way. Lower the age to 18 and then enforce it consistently and judiciously. I believe that is about the best we can do as a society. -
Hey, could you share with us what this guy said?! I am curious.

I want a new identity in place in time for the 2015-16 school year and I absolutely did not want to remove the Fighting Sioux name and logo. Nice try, please play again.

I do think it is hard to quantify something that is as qualitative as college football recruiting. Having said that, there has to be some truth to these rankings or else these websites/blogs/newsletters wouldn't be in business.

Do I need to book a Steel Cage Match between you and MafiaMan? I'll referee it. -
Does the Hockey Team Have a Disruptive Alcohol Culture?
fightingsioux4life replied to Cratter's topic in Men's Hockey
The culture is different in Germany. Kids are introduced to alcohol at family meals and are taught to consume it responsibly. In this country, it's treated as a forbidden fruit and thus kids want to drink it because they aren't supposed to. -

Then what is your theory on looking like world beaters on Friday night and looking like garbage on Saturday night? It happens way too often to not be tied to something. -

And that would be insane. If we do something that, we might as well serve it at lunch in HS. And, for the record, the means I was kidding. -

If you gave the states free reign over this, Wisconsin would probably lower their drinking age to 14 or 15. -

And Craig "Mr. Clean" Bohl was a spring chicken? It's very insightful that instead of debunking my logic, you chose instead to take a cheap shot at Bubba and how he dresses at practice. The guy has a youthful enthusiasm for coaching football and for UND itself. That will sell the program to recruits. And that is what you are most afraid of.
-
Don't you understand what #DayByDay means? It means eventually, not immediately. How do you think Roger Thomas managed to build a national contender despite what he started with in 1986? It wasn't by losing every single recruiting battle with NDSU. Eventually, Thomas was able to beat out NDSU for guys like Jim Kleinsasser (unless you want to make the case that NDSU didn't really want him ). #DayByDay, this program will get better. And that haunts you guys in your dreams because you've watched this movie before, right?

This is a very good point. Tim Brewster was the best thing to happen to FU and Craig Bohl. With Jerry Kill in charge of the Rodents, that gravy train will pretty much stop.
-
Couldn't have said it better myself. I will stand with Bubba every step of the way.
-
Watch out, LakesBison will rip you for that!

I guess I wasn't talking about Top 25, I was thinking more along the lines of Top 10 or Top 5. I think FU could hang with Alabama for one quarter and maybe part of the second quarter, but then the overwhelming depth and talent level of the Tide would take over.
-
Alabama and the SEC are a different universe from Iowa State and the Big 12. They would get overpowered in the trenches on both sides of the ball and their QB would get destroyed and possibly injured in the process. FU is smart not seeking games against FBS powers like Alabama and Oregon (and yes South Dakota, that is a reference to you).
