We could have a variation that has the hawk without the "ND" behind it. That would look good on a hockey jersey. -
I don't like the idea of gag orders on anyone. Either you believe in the 1st Amendment or you don't. And regarding the comment about how much student-athletes receive in scholarships and FCOA stipends; are you saying they are employees? That is a can of worms I would not touch with a 10 foot pole. And would any coach even consider cutting an athlete because they spoke out against something they didn't agree with? Let people vent and express how they feel about this.

Bubba always gives the most heartfelt, honest, straightforward speeches. We are so fortunate to have him. And he says he is embracing the new logo. Someone on here want to tell him he is wrong?

If it's going to be put on our hockey jerseys, I think we should just have the logo and not "North Dakota" above it. The logo needs to stand alone so it will stand out to people.

I just wanted to remind you and your tag partner that you don't know everything and the "Father Knows Best" routine you use on here gets old and occasionally gets you burned. And you obviously missed the and at the end of my message; I was being snarky. But I suppose you'll contest that too? -

Today on News and Views at 10:05am, Joel Heitkamp, Brian Faison and Jack Michaels announced that KFGO is the new Fargo affiliate for UND athletics. But I won't say I told you so because I am a nice guy at heart. -
But according to Wayne Nelson, it was the only logical choice.

Don't you think an NHL team would sell more seats than a Major Junior team? Those are two entirely different levels of hockey; most people in the United States don't know or understand CHL hockey.

Well, he has made it clear that retiring the Fighting Sioux nickname and logo was a deal-breaker for him with regard to UND athletics, so it shouldn't surprise you that this is the case. Besides, if that is what floats his boat, so be it.

I agree with you. I don't think the Baltimore Ravens care that Joe Flacco was an FCS QB. All he does is win.

Ugh! Just the mention of Warren Sapp's name reminds me that the Vikings passed up on a future Hall of Famer for a non-descript DT from Florida who did jack squat in the NFL. I just shut off my TV and went to Kraft Field to watch UND baseball; that is how p!ssed off I was.
