I strongly suspect that the letters to the editor criticizing Roughriders are Sun Dog supporters trying to deep-six Roughriders so that their choice wins by default. They can't win on the merits, so they are going straight for the gutter.

A winning record this year is very likely. Playoffs (Playoffs?) would be icing on the cake.

This notion got its start with the MVFC trolls and has gained traction with a lot of people.

Why don't we just go all the way and let coaches ban players from transferring to and playing for any other FBS school? You play for us....or YOU DON'T PLAY AT ALL!!! That is where we are headed if something isn't done about it. Imagine the outrage if coaches were required to sign non-compete agreements with their respective schools! They would be screaming "Restraint of Trade", "Tyranny" and whatever else they could come up with. But if it's a student-athlete....it's "just fine". No wonder those Northwestern student-athletes sued to start a union.

A winning record this year would be a huge improvement over the past four years. Playoffs would be icing on the cake. And speaking of playoffs.....

This is a marathon, not a sprint. Bubba wants to build this thing the right way, with high school graduates that become five year players in the program and who pass the torch to the next generation once they have finished their careers. I predict the JC and FBS transfers will slowly disappear as Bubba gets his guys into the program. A winning record this year would be another important step forward.
